Run-in to Herts and beds meet this month
Discussion
What a great experience for my first run in to a meet. To think I wasn't going to go because of a knee operation. After that I would go even if they had amputated it.
Someone said that I would be grinning for the next few days, They are right I can't stop thinking about it and am boring anyone that will listen with stories of 'how many TVR's can you park in somebody's front garden'.
I wanted to know how the Griff 500 handled on twisties, now I know, just thought if the bloke in front can do it so can I. Might not be the wisest thing to do but it worked.
Can't thank Jon enough for the organisation and welcome for the new guys. Roll on the next one.
Cheers
Steve

Mal/Jon (and the other co-organisers), thank for you organising an absolutely brilliant run. Probably the most fun I've had in the TVR. As my father was visiting us at the weekend he joined me on the run - needless to say, he left with a grin from ear to ear.
Thanks also to everyone who took part. It's as much the people as the event that makes an occasion. Cheers!

I knew I invited Mark-L for a reason
Top video Mark!!!! Got quite emotional
Yeah the video came out ok. It's a shame my car is so loud cos you can't hear the lovely roar of the TVRs except for when I'm not moving. Top video Mark!!!! Got quite emotional
Jon, how did you Archos footage come out? I'd be interested in getting one for mine.
Apologies for the belated comments but was on Mother-In-Law duties after arriving back home.
What a fantastic day. The mix of the cars, the awesome soundtrack, the roads and the weather was just sheer theatre with the look on bystander's faces saying it all. The most TVR related fun I've had for a long time.
A big thankyou goes out to Jon for the impeccable organisation of the event. He even managed to arrange the weather!
Thanks to Mark-L for a great video. Now I know what an in car experience in an Exige looks like. Very impressive.
And thanks to Mal for the photos which have provided an invaluable record of a great day. Mal could you please send me the files of the V8S going into launch mode under hard acceleration to remind me to attend to the dampers.
Hope to see you all again soon.
Cheers
Gary

Speaking as the "bloke in front" (at least until the driveway detour), your Griff looked superb in my rear-view mirror and you clearly had no trouble keeping up with my "spirited" 968 on roads I am familiar with. So I'd say your handling is up to par!Edited by plenty on Monday 16th March 12:48

Guys,
Quick request...
If you want high res versions of the pictures from the photobucket link on page 10 can you hover your curser over the image and it will show MarchMeeting followed by a number, can you quote this number as this is how I have them on my hard drive rather than photobucket.
Edited to add..
Can you also check the size of your mailbox before requesting please. I have had a couple of bounce backs already due to the flies being too big.
Each file is around 1 meg in size. As I mentioned before the stationary shots are around 3 meg. Being on 10 meg broadband here helps but you may have restrictions your end as it were. .
cheers muchly
PS
Steve I think I've worked out which ones you wanted
