Excellent news Richard.
I will have some spare oil if needed.
Cheers DerekI will have some spare oil if needed.
It's not too bad - it just smokes and smells more than it should
and I was initially worried it was something more urgent/important
Tony - I'm sure mine pulled 136Db at full tilt at BNG 2008
Kevin - Look forward to another excellent video presentation
and I can only be about 500 of the 1000 hits - so plenty of other people interested
Graham - My car pulled 230BHP on the RR at BBWF 2008
Then I had the head gasket done and had the heads skimmed so now likely to be higher!!!!!
Looking forward to it
Cheers
Richard
PS Have also signed up for the Harewood Hillclimb Driving School day with other Tivers in July
Looks like the wedgers are getting competetive.
136db
Mines probably still under 100 with the pre-cats out and a semi-sleeved box.
230 bhp should help produce decent 1/4 times.
I had 230 at the wheels a couple of weeks ago and 294 with the nitrous.
If the clutch and fuel leak are sorted tomorrow then i hope to tweek a few things to get more from the gas.
Savings weights always a good idea... dont leave your tools and pies in the boot!

Most V8 Wedges are well over 100db as standard...no cats
Thank goodness there is one motor sport where you can still go out and make a proper NOISE.
Im sure i got tinnitus from filming the jet car last year.Thank goodness there is one motor sport where you can still go out and make a proper NOISE.
Its difficult to plug your ears and film at the same time... check my clip on youtube under 'dbv8nos'.
That's really bad luck for you mate.
I hope you're not stood about for too long.
It would help if the stupid bloody media (and govt.) didn't talk doom and gloom the whole time.
Come anyway....life's too short.
My company's re-newable energy side (heat pumps, solar panels , etc) is expanding....tapping into govt. and EC grants. No vacancies for plumbers just now, but we do use them. Perhaps opportunities in that direction for you while construction is tits up.

Hi Derek, it looks like I wont be at York this Sunday, made redundant today so I will have to look after the pennys until I find another job.
Chedder
I say come along too.Chedder
You might meet your future employer... At the least i will provide a free brew or 2.
1 of us gets in free so it may as well be you
My Chims back in 1 piece and i aim to be at the track camping on Saturday night.
Hopefully there will be 10 or so TVRs turning up to race on Sunday.
Please dont be put off by the weather forecasts as ive been before when its forecast downpours and there has only been the odd shower and the track drys ready for action very quickly.
I will be parked within the RWYB pits and any TVR turning up either to race or watch should bear right at the entrance and follow the road past the 1st set of pits (ie dont turn left) and look for my car.
Any other information should be available on the York website here...
