Thanks FBC. I've gate crashed the Essex lot often enough!! I'm sure plenty from this way would be interested in a long run around your way too. Many thanks to Mal for booking the weather smile

He overfilled the cooling system - that's just the expansion tank dumping excess water. Nothing to worry about. hehe

Good to meet you all today - it was a fantastic run and well done to jon for sorting such a good route and arranging the fantastic weather. I do now have rather a lot of black stuff to clean off the front of my car having followed Hoover for a while!

Nice meeting Shabs - great car! And also the chap & daughter with the green Tuscan (sorry no good with names) - I know a few traditionalists don't like it but to me it was awesome.

Anyone get any pics of my Silver 350?

If you look closely in the background Del, you can see one of the Southend Posse, showing the Herts boys how to do it!! (Top off, Blue Ears, Never mind!!!!)

jon, thanks for organising another great run in. Sorry I couldnt join you all at the meet. I know TVR's are loud but mine was running a bit louder after a trip across the water - a mounting bracket for the o/s the exhaust came away from the pipe taking a 4cm x 2cm section with it - hence the audible 'enhancement' and wobbly rear can. I diverted home at Buntingford (missing the delights of the twisties on the A507) to get it checked out. The garage reckons the sudden cooling effect of the water on the bracket was its waterloo! All due to be fixed this week along with the stuck roof pin which prevented a bit of top down driving. All part of the TVR ownership experience!

Some great photos btw. Would have loved to see one of Hoover in his sea-cat ploughing across the water. Quite a sight after the genteel approach of others.

See you all next time.

Cheers.

Fimbo. Really sorry mate. That is very unlucky. Was a great specticle watching all the TVR's going through the ford. Not good that someone had to pay the price frown Hope it's an easy fix.
