The poll shows that more are interested in it being an all TVR event, so I should think every TVR will be welcome.

The interest shows that the turnout may well be very big, if this is the case then a pretty large venue will be required and events will be running in parallel to give everyone plenty of track/strip time...

Been talking with Carbon Al and he has a few ideas up his sleeve too so all looks promising.

I know its a few months away still, but the sooner we get the interest building up, the sooner I can get some numbers to play with.

I'm one of the purists, but I would still love to see your Cerb run.

Ok, looks its been decided that the format will be TVR only.

This includes ALL TVR based cars, if its a Ford Escort with an AJP then it enters, if its a Griffith with a quad-turbo LS7 it enters...

smile

Although I do have a list of potential venues, I am all ears to more rare venues, so if anyone has any ideas - either post them on this thread or email me via PH email... smile

Sounds good - Whatevers decided can I ask that the date is worked into the TVRCC calendar and doesnt compete for a "date"? Would be a pity to split the attendance!

Yes that would make sense, would hate for a TVRCC event to lose attendance due to a non-TVRCC event... near the time I'm sure we'll work out a date that works for all... I gues one or two TVRCC regions may get affected but we'll try to keep the casualties down...

The runway at Dunsfold is ~7000ft. I hit ~143mph at Wings and Wheels this past weekend with lots of braking room and the start point some distance in from the end of the runway. If you're looking for a standing mile I don't know if there's quite the room but it might fit. Not sure what the properly quick stuff managed to get to.

Reading was from the GPS tracker Pete - 229km/h - can't vouch for its accuracy or not.

When are you planning to hold the event? Surely it would be best to hold it in the spring summer of next year when we have a better chance of good weather? Crap weather would completely ruin an event like this.

Im up for this.
Be interested to see if i could do a sub 30 second mile.
Somewhere with a decent surface for launching would be better.

Al,

I'll concurr with Graham re older cars going round corners.

I'll wager you a quid my SEAC can match or beat you car round a corner.

Yes, my SEAC is extremely well setup.

I think you guys have a classic car meet later this month on the Island (I went to school there, so I may drive down if weather's fine.

Can I take the SEAC as hand baggage on the hovercraft? idea
