One of the best factual programmes I have ever seen! Yes, Really! Amazing CGI, Incredible facts, Informative & VERY moving. I shed a tear at the end! Thats what the BBC is for.

I think you missed out, it's a good show. Just the ending was a bit depressing even though I hope it's no surprise to you hehe

I thought the ending was 'nice' in a way. Sensitively handled and he died peacefully with those he loved at his side. I'd like to go in that way.

Excellent programme pitched at just the right level - accessible without dumbing down the science too much.

That was a very very good episode. As said it was pitched at a good level. The ending was inevitable with birth at the start. Dealt with nicely I thought.

Reminded me of the Robert Winston series that was on a few years ago.

I echo that completely. Me and the Mrs had agreed to turn off before the end as we didn't want to watch someones last momments, but ended up watching as it was very compelling. If you ignored the sensationalism in the reporting of the programmes broadcast by the media beforehand, it was a well shot and sensitivly handled piece of television. BBC - thats what the licence fee is for.

The gentleman in it must have given his full consent for it to be filmed. I said to the Mrs last night that I hope I go at peace with the world, like him.
