Has anyone mentioned Liz Hurley yet? Or Kelly Brook? Wooden doesn't begin to describe those two.

For all the people saying Stallone watch Rocky 1, Copland and some of his other lesser known stuff that doesn't involve explosions. He can act.

My vote goes for the guy from Circle of Pain. Watched it at the weekend and could not believe how bad he is.

Although I net any of those 99p action films in tesco have much worse acting then anyone anyone has mentioned on this thread.
yes Stallone underrated as an actor, should be given more serious roles, out acted the entire cast in Copland and that was some cast

Agreed, Copland was an excellent film for Stallone. he really shone in that.

I can't believe some people have said Sir Ian McKellen. I guess those people have never seen a live perfornamce of his. His performance with Sir Patrick Stewart in 'Waiting for Godot' was absolutely brilliant.

My choice for worst actor goes to Danny Dyer. What an abortion.

He wasn't much better in Jumper either
Good God that was an awful film. It was as if someone once said "hey, wouldn't it be cool if you could teleport?", and the entire screenplay was that one thought but in different locations and with Samuel L Jackson knitted in. Woeful. Even watching it on a 'plane I felt like my time had been wasted. I could have been gazing at a seatback with that time.

People keep mentioning Tom Cruise, but let's not forget he's been the victim of some bad films. The best actor in the world couldn't have saved The Last Samurai from being st. It takes something like Rainman to see how he does without explosions and stuff, and he seems pretty good in that.

I'm coming into this thread late... and with a cliche.

Keanu Reeves.

By Christ he's a bad actor. I thought he was a bit 'stiff' in the Matrix films, but thought that was just the character.

Then I watched some of his other stuff and thought he was fairly bad.

Then recently I watched a recent 'bank robbery' film of his called Henry's Crime.

Holy mother of god, I have never seen a single film ruined so much by utterly unwatchable acting. Good plot, decent script, well filmed, decent budget obviously, but rendered fking awful by Reeves creaking his way through it in the most wooden and uncomfortable way ever. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Edited to add: it's that bad it's worth watching as a textbook example of good film combined with awful acting.

'Hi, I'm Ricky Gervais. You may remember me from such shows as the office. It was really good wasn't it. You should watch my TV shows.'
Ok maybe not Troy Mcclure, but he really annoys me!

Danny Dyer.
Elijah Wood.

Both shockingly bad.

The worst actor ever is extremely subjective, for example Arnie is wooden, yet hes an icon. But in how I see it the worst actor ever is almost definitely Seann William Scott. Just really dreadful

David Caruso. Every time he says something, it's like the last things he's ever going to say. And when you point it out to people, when they notice, it annoys them too.

It's got to be Lindsay Lohan. Is there anything she's done that that doesn't want you to pull out you own eyeballs..

Good job this is hidden away, otherwise you'd be in for a veritable beating tomorrow when the masses wake up - apparently Lohan is often sacrosant.
However, FWIW, I don't disagree - rubbish at the day job, car crash and really not much to write home about to compensate.
