10pm BBC2, part 2 tomorrow same time. Heard Brian May and Roger Taylor on Chris Evan's breakfast show on Friday promoting this, unseen footage apparently. On record, to be watched on numerous occasions smile

I was but a nipper when Freddie passed away, but as my mum was a big fan, I grew up hearing all of those tracks. I'd forgotten how many they'd done that are still well known today - and so many anthems - a really enjoyable watch. Can't wait for part 2, tomorrow I believe.

Couldn't believe how many Queen records I knew and how many great records they produced. Great programme. Looking forward to the second part and the concert afterwards.

I started buying the albums when I was about 10 (1981) and ended up utterly addicted. So many fabulous musical works of art to be enjoyed.

Only regret is not seeing them play live frown

Excellent programme, really good and looking forward to tomorrow.
I remember taking my g/f to see them live at Leeds Uni in the 70's, she was mad about them and they were promoting SHA and were excellent.

Superb programme. Had the pleasure, in 1978, of stewarding at Wembley Arena for 4 nights on the trot, while Queen were playing. Brought back some very happy memories

Alas without Freddy, but saw them the weekend after 7/7 in Hyde Park. Happy enough to have had Paul Rodgers with them, Razorlight and Peter Kay supporting.

I think they were actually due to play the weekend of 7/7, but it got delayed. No bunch of daft Yorkshire bds were going to stop me going the next weekend though. Queen are utter utter legends, best band ever.

Went to the Freddie Mercury tribute as a kid. Was too young for their final tour frown

Edited to add: There's more to the story (not particulary interesting), I asked my parents to take me to the last Queen tour, they said I was too young to go but they promised to take me to the next concert/tour. That unfortunately was the Freddie Mercury Tribute, I feel really honoured to be there my parents spent hours on the phone queueing to get tickets and I got them as a birthday present.
