Oh, just WoW, Brian May and his Father, John Deacon and "Another one bites the dust", having no money for such a long time .... looking forward to tonight, arrogance perhaps, they knew they were special ...

Counting down to Part 2.

Just realised they didn't mention Larry Lurex last night. Queen In Nuce album is great having Larry and Smile works.

Queen Mercury - long may she reign wink

Queen are one of three British bands who have cracked America.the beatles and the rolling stones.
I don't think anything more needs to be said.

Was Freddie highly educated like the other band members or was he just pure music genius?

Wasn't there one other british band from the 1960's where the lead singer died but he had all his cash hidden away in offshore so the money even today no-one knows where it went. I'd wager that band could have possibly been another great band to add even more British music around the states

All great bands but did they break it properly or as big as queen nestles rolling stones? I honestly don't know so hands up if I'm wrong.

Your list has just made me pop onto iTunes and buy a fleetwood Mac album .. Am not a fan of Led personally but admire him

I forgot how much I loved them.

Always regret not seeing them on their last (as it was to be) ever tour.

It must be very dusty here too.

I can't believe it's 20 years since Freddie died. Where did the time go?

Sleep well Freddie, we miss you.

Nope, didn't get to me!

I remember watching this at the time, great bit of TV back then when you didn't have the current levels of access to music on the box!

Queen were utterly brilliant. Being born in 1980, I grew up to listening to them through my parents.

Innuendo the album is just brilliant in every respect.

Amazing amazing band.

EDIT: I was at a friends 21st birthday back in November 2001. There was a lady there who was a friend of my friends dad. Anyway, she claimed to have shared either a house of flat with Freddie for a year back when they were both students. She was very straight laced so it seemed quite bizarre to me that they'd pair up as she said even then that he was very flambouyant

As much as I enjoy watching Queen, I would've preferred to see a later stadium concert, as opposed to this one from '75. No doubt 'rights' come into the frame

This is the Queen I prefer. In the 80's they had become seriously 'uncool' and they could never regain the majic of thier 70's albums! All IMO obviously!

As with a few others I was born in 82, so was a bit too young to get to go to one of the concerts but I did hear a lot of their music in my childhood through my parents.

I'm quite often to be seen hooning around with Queen on my car cd player at a rediculously high volume biggrin
