Have been enjoying it until Senna's crash - no need to show a fatal accident.

Found out a few years ago that my mum used to work for him. And she met him at goodwood last year and had a catch up chat

Amazing. Truly a generation we'll never see the likes of again. He managed to cross the Rhine, be Don Draper, and then after retiring became the most recognisable voice in the world.

I think it was important to show the way in which Murray handled it... can see your POV though

Piss. My recording stopped 4 mins from the end, despite me extending it. And as it's not gong to be repeated or on iPlayer I'll have to seek out a torrent.

It was a very nicely made documentary and could have been longer. I wonder what his other ambitions are?

Exactly what I said to Mrs Thatone... about him being "gifted 4 x wdc?"

You mean by winning 3/4 World Championships in the dominant car? Quite unlike the slow dog of an FW14B Williams then Nige. hehe

Another superb programme from the Beeb, not really difficult to make, the cameras were there covering other events and lots of people around to offer opinions and praise and lots of archive to choose from.
Interesting comments from DC at the end and 'our Nige' and Damon have a very real affection for him.
