I read his biography a few years ago and didn't think there was anything new in this documentary apart from a few snippets from the archives.

I read it last year and found it quite a dull book. The programme didn't add much but glammed his life up somewhat - still quite a remarkable man though.

For those of us who have not read his book I would hazard a guess we all found it an interesting, entertaining and informative programme, I know I did.
