Same here. Also, what the f*** is that all about on saying there was insufficient evidence to convict on the bypassing the electric meter and cultivation of the plants?
Yep, I gave up on the programme from that point- piss well-and-truly boilingmad I can only think they were 'co-operative' regarding higher profile associates during questionning. Or is a shrug of the shoulders sufficient defence these days should the police find a cannabis plantation in your loft?

Your aiming that rant at the police I take it. What you will find is its not up to use. We present the evidence and the CPS/laws dictate what can and cant be done. Im fairly junior in service compared to a lot of people and Ive lost count of the number of times Ive sat there and knows full well Mr A did it but either cant prove beyond ALL reasonable doubt(our laws suck) or the CPS wont run the case.

Theres a big difference between knowing and proving unfortuately. And because society is so anti police our word counts for very little anymore.
be careful what you say as a BiB mate, there is a thread in sp&l about what you can and can't say as an acting plod in case you get hauled over the coals for it.

as for our laws sucking, it annoys me beyond reason, but i would rather see 100 guilty me go free than one innocent get put away, mind we aren't great at that either smile

Didn't they give up chasing at one point because they thought it was too dangerous - bit of a fking joke by the bib there.
What's the point of a string of traffic cars chasing a car through crowded streets when the helicopter can monitor it much more safely from the air? As soon as it was on more open roads the pursuit was authorised again.

The bloke who just couldn't understand that it was a legal requirement for his son to have insurance even as a learner driver. He should've had his name on the policy as a named driver or use the option of an "any driver" as part of his insurance.

Was wondering the same. Why did it need all those cars, surely 3 cars max and a helicopter would do?

Without wanting to give too many tactics away it can be handy to have extra vehicles, especially when they are being rammed and may be immobilised.

The rant is not aimed specificity at the police, it is just unfortunate that they are the most visible targets in this case. I suspect the Police are least at fault(but a bit too PC), the CPS next, and the law makers/government the worst. I just think the whole system is getting increasingly useless. While driving home tonight I had to take the next junction to the one I wanted because the slip road was closed owing to a guy needing to change his wheel - but this is a big wide two laner that wasn't in a massively dangerous position, it must have been possible to keep one lane open and make do with only 10 feet of free space beside you like they do in every other country on earth without problem (granted there could be something I'm missing.

Doesn't ring true to send all the flash cars around a field to capture a moped. Much prefer 'Traffic Cops' and even, dare I say it, 'Road Wars'.
Nice to see Tim Scouthern make an appearance, he's a Traffic Cops veteran lol!

Nice "VSR" that they stopped too. biggrin

Loved seeing that big bloke in the Peugeot 207 estate crying in the back of the police car. Hopefully because on of the officers 'accidently' stepped on his balls.

Different programme I know but on Road Wars, they stopped a 14 year old from driving, and banned him from driving for a year?! He can't fking drive anyway so how fking pointless is that, really fks me off how he just gets away with it and no doubt fking do it again in a couple of weeks.

His ban will start once his first licence is granted.

that's OK then, as he obviously follows the letter of the law and won't drive, FFS what is wrong with the courts, how dense are they when they sentence people. don't ban him, fine the little scrote and squeeze him financially until he squeaks.
