Just a heads up this is on tonight, looks interesting

With motor insurance premiums up nearly 40 percent this year Panorama investigates the car insurance industry from top to bottom.
We go undercover to infiltrate a criminal gang faking accidents for fraudulent insurance claims and we look at who's benefitting from some of those text claim messages we're all getting. Declan Lawn investigates what's gone wrong with the industry and discovers how we're all paying for it.

It's nearly 20 years ago when I started working in a claims dept for a lloyds syndicate and even back then we have a book of people that used to setup accidents.

Most were taxi drivers!

Half an hour to go.

My insurance company charges me £20 when I change the registration number. Then charge me £1.50 for paying by Debit card, robbing bds.

smile top quality sarcasm here, v good

On the matter of the programme, profoundly depressing on many levels. The whole system could hardly have been better designed for abuse by chancers at every stage from the moment of crash impact - or before that in the case of crash for cash operators.

Ignoring the cash for crash aspect

Everyone wins it appears, Insurance companies sell data to ambilans chasers, ambilans chasers sell details to solicitors - solicitors take insurance companies to court and win 100% of claim amount bonus...... from the insurance company that sold the info in the first place

Maybe one of you could record Police Interceptors for me, we dont get channel 5 here.

That was hardly a ground breaking episode of Panorama.

I have a friend in the industry unfortunately. It wasnt too long ago that an asian guy approached him and asked him to supply rta details for a small cut.

Whole industry makes me sick!
