Hate the GoCompare ad, but used their site and got a great deal on insurance.

Would never be put of a good deal or service by an annoying ad.

I will never, ever, ever phone 118 118, and I will never use GoCompare (because it's an Americanism and I hate the adverts).
had a busker in the centre of Southampton singing the original version of "Over there".
- dense morons: "haha 'e's singin' that ad off the telly innit"
- everyone else: "that's song will never be the same since that awful advertisement campaign"

funnily enough my mate is responsible for those ads as he head marketer for Safestyle. Surprisingly (and annoying as they are) the ad's actually work as each time a new ad campaign is launched sales increase. This shows you that there are brain dead idiots out there who are convinced! So the mouthy fat man wont be disappearing anytime soon!
I am sure I read a review website recently which made out that Safestyle were a truly horrible company to deal with. I was shocked at some of the stories but I cant find the reviews now !

I will never ever buy a product from Halifax because of that tt Howard that used to be in their adverts, and their adverts in general.

Smug people on adverts put me off, but they're usually the adverts for products intended for smug people, so I wouldn't have bought the products anyway. Apple and Yakult are currently the worst offenders.

fking stupid not to go to a company just because of their advert.

like they give a fk.
And you are spending your time by posting and supporting them even though, as you state - "like they give a f*ck"
Some insurance companies will charge you £50 excess if you use Autoglass and £100 excess if you use another company. Bite the bullet and save £50

Yeah, Halifax, 118118, GoCompare, also almost anyone who decides they need a sung trademark jingle, for instance; Mmm Danone or Autoglass. Makes me want to smash things.

If they offer a good service at a good price then why would you go anywhere else out of principle that you don't like their advert, like they give a fk.
If they didn't give a fk as you so eloquently put it, why would they spend a fortune on advertising?

The advert does annoy me....AUTOGLASS REPAIR, AUTOGLASS REPLACE.

Frankly i wouldn't want "Gavin" or his "special resin" anywhere near me or my windscreen.

I only used Autoglass for the MR-2 'cause the insurance requested it.

Yeah, I'll never buy them 'Bodyform' thingys as I hate the advert/music. smile

I also hate the Autoglass advert too, but I wouldn't be surprised if my CC would have to go there as it also goes to Kwik fit for tyres and I hate their adverts (at least the old one about a Kwik fit fitter). frown

You have the right to use any VAT registered company you can also use the same arguement for bodywork repairs.

I once had an internet argument with someone in The Lounge because I said that I'd never get insurance from that lot who got Micheal Winner (the ) to do their adverts. The other person said that the advert had been successful because I remembered it.

They completely missed the point that advertising is there to sell a product, not turn away potential customers in revulsion at some perma-tanned old tt telling me to 'calm down'.

C ntery.

Can anyone explain how the idiotic Safestyle Windows Double Glazing adverts can inspire anyone marginally above an amoeba's IQ to buy from them?

I suspect the adverts work for the market they aim at. - Want a new airlock porch & windows to celebrate the acquisition of your Council house under the right to buy scheme and differentiate yourself from the neighbours who rent - go to Safestyle.....

Anyone with half a brain, go elsewhere !

Our windscreen was chipped the other day but b0ll0xed will I be phoning Autoglass as I spend half my waking day turning down that sthead Gavin and his mates diatribe on TV and radio.

So I phoned National Windscreens. Nice people.

Anyone else put off and gone elsewhere as a result of a company's poxy advertising?
I was put off by their poxy adhesitising instead. (Poxy epoxy?)

I had to re-glue the windscreen they "fitted" for me....

In contrast, the Old Spice advert is bloody marvellous but I would never go buy it from a shop with money.
