Bloke decided instead to take the piss out of the builder on the internet and by mocking him on the street corners of his home town,

Agree, I'd have taken my money back and gone elsewhere,

Guy just couldn't let it go so turned an annoying situation into one which will cost him a lot of money, utter idiot.
