Steve Buscemi reminds me of one of my favourite lines from a movie.

It was his line or a very good movie but...

"Get off.....the Nuclear....Weapon." laugh

Leo Di Caprio went from being very very punchable (although I think that was the type of character he was meant to be) to doing a pretty good stint in his most recent films.

David Warner - Don't think he was ever the lead in anything, but he always made the films he was in better.

From The Ballad of Cable Hogue

through The Man With Two Brains

Tron

and so many more (even Waxworks). He remains one of my favourites.

Not very topical I'll admit, but you asked the question.

yes Since he escaped from the teen roles he's one of the best actors around.

I'd also add Christian Bale into the mix

Christian Bale - Whichever role he commits to, he nails. The Machinist, American Psycho, Batman, The Fighter. Great in all of them.

Edward Norton - just for American History X alone. He's good in everything though, even if the film itself is poor.

Joe Pesci - Casino, Goodfellas, Home Alone. What more do you want? Never has such a small man conveyed total menace quite so convincingly.

Sharon Stone - very versatile. Convincing as a charming seductress or an utter SWT mental.

OI! More people need to be pimping Daniel day lewis here. Seriously. Kevin Spacey and Gary Oldman are both very good as well but not just as dedicated.
