I realise this has probably been covered several times, but I thought I'd harvest some fresh opinions. So:

I like podcasts, but I'm struggling to find new ones that are any good. iTunes Store seems to have little more of interest.

So far I've gone through all of the following:

Ricky Gervais - Not RG's biggest fan but I love the podcasts, listened to them all a fair few times now so they're in the 'done' pile.
Freakonomics - Probably my current favourite but I'm forever waiting for new ones.
Jay & Silent Bob get old - Started well, doesn't seem particularly interesting anymore though it has genuine LOL moments at times
Gareth Jones on Speed - desperately wanted to like that one but found it a bit 'meh'.
David Mitchell - Pretty good 2-3 minute rants
The Onion Podcast - Great but very short.
The Complete Guide to Everything - Basically what sounds like 2 stoners chatting nonsense for 1.5hrs at a time, has the odd very funny moment though.
BBC Friday Night Comedy - The Now Show is OK, but I wish they'd bring back the one with Sandy Toksvig.
TED - Love anything TED related but I prefer using the site.

And that's about it. Tried several others but couldn't get into them. Have yet to fully explore iTunes U or the audiobooks section.

Any hidden gems out there I'm missing out on? iTunes seems to be a little thin on the ground. Willing to give pretty much anything a try.

Have you tried the Infinite Monkey Cage? A mixture of comedy and science with Robin Ince and Brian Cox.

The football ramble is excellent if your even slightly interested in football. And iv listened to a few desert island discs for people of any interest to me.

Currently enjoying Infinite Monkey Cage - why didn't I know about this sooner! Thanks for the heads up. Radio 4 really does seem to be responsible for some of the best audio broadcasting ever.

I'll check out Answer me this next. Not a fan of football but I'll give the ramble a try too smile
