A quality film for anyone with an interest in street art and its progression into the mainstream.

Yay, lets give a vandal some cash. At the end of the day he's a vandal.
As for supporting his mate 'Tox' who's only claim to fame is scrawling 'TOX' everywhere he should be made to pay for his 'art'. Utter tt.

It's not street art, it's vandalism and illegal.

Whilst this is a can of worms subject, he's mostly doing alternative art now.

speeding is too, but people still get enjoyment from it and do it and both are classed as anti social.

But it doesn't cause damage. Crashing causes damage.

If street art is so great, invite them to come and paint all the walls of your house.

Remember, for every Banksey there are a million talentless tossers with a spray can.

Is this film for real? From the footage you would have to guess so but it feels very spinal tap.

Loved the quote "I realised he wasn't a film maker he was a guy with mental problems who happened to have a camera."

mr brainwash employs people to produce his art, he doesn't get his hands dirt, and has been shown not to have much talent..

Now is it real? I think it is a piss take, which bankys is good at.. But who it takes the piss out of it is probably harder to identity. But a funny film so far.

edit pushed around in a wheel barrow...

Look at MBW pictures, they are are cliche of what is street art is.

My take is that the last part about MBW is a piss take out of punters that will buy anything. Not because it's good but because it has a name and will sell for stupid prices.

Up until the film was made MBW was unknown, nowhere in the film do you actually see MBW produce any real art at all. wink

I wasn't paying attention after the splash played but yea. Thats really funny. Don't buy this Nonsense.

So MBW is Banksy? I could believe that as I don't see why he would let himself be filmed. Pretty smart way to make money and not ruin the brand too. The MBW thing leaves me confused, is he a fool or a massive genius? The film seems to mock him pretty mercilessly. On the other hand he applies the formula and is just naming numbers for his derivative art. He is in some part incredible for working out the formula of self promotion.

no his 'social experiment', there are clues throughout the film to allude to it.

MBW is the whole mainstream/selling out idea, when an idea is taken and constantly used over and over until all originality is lost. which his works do, but actually hick jack over artists works to do so,

MBW does this a lot and Banks is a big fan of exposing to people that do this too.

yes MBW work is a load of clobbers smile

Thierry Guetta is a real guy though and all the footage, up until the last 20 or so minutes ( there is a distinct change wink ) is real and shot by him.
