The thread with movies that people were talking about movies that were 12 to 15 years old was simply a waste of my reading time. This thread is ONLY for films released within the last 12 months. Go at it I shall stoke the fire as need be.

I'd suggest Senna too. Flawed but still good.

Assume you mean the old films thread, if so, can I ask why? Is it because a lot mentioned were old Brit or foreign films? Surely a good film is a good film, wherever and whenever it was made and worth checking out if you seriously enjoy movies.

Anyhoo, in keeping with the theme of the thread, within the last year I have enjoyed

The Social Network
127 Hours
True Grit
Kings Speech
The Millenium Trilogy (although made in 2009, were only released in the UK within the last year, so not sure if that counts?)

The Fincher version of Dragon Tattoo, although net yet released, looks to be surprisingly good too.

Thor isn't bad, as far as popcorn movies go.

Alright gotta check out 127 and Senna For sure now. Saw a couple comedies that I liked including:
Crazy Stupid Love
I thought Cowboys and Aliens was watchable but not amazing and was surprised by the new Planet of the Apes movie and thought it was better than Transformers 3 by a mile and Xmen First Class was a good prequel.

Haven't seen that, but I'll add Rubber to the list.
