The most recent episode was worth a watch for anyone interested in NASA and the Space Shuttle.

It was on BBC 4 last night and will be on the iPlayer for a few weeks. It was about the end of the Shuttle programme and the future of NASA's involvement in manned spaceflight. One of the guests was British astronaut Piers Morgan.

Piers Morgan has been strapped to a boody-great rocket and blasted into Space?

Why wasn't this made a public holiday like the Royal Wedding?!

I watched this last night and thought it was excellent, enjoyed Piers Sellers narrative.

Intro music always makes me feel nostalgic as i've been watching since the 70's, but then i get the same thing with re-runs of the Sweeney smile

As I am currently building a 1/144 scale model of the Space Shuttle Discovery, it was nice to see the array of Shuttle and other launcher models on display in the background. The models were built by the expert modeller (and long time supplier of models to the BBC) Mat Irvine.

Thanks for that Eric smile

I shall catch up with that over the weekend.
I love watching Patrick Moore. How he is still alive I don't know. Have you seen the size of him lately?

How old is he now. Mid eighties?

He is looking a tad frail nowadays but does seem all there.

I will also catch up as I can and often do. UARS cropped up in another thread.
