Died yesterday aged 39.

Didn't know whether to put this in news but felt more appropriate here.

Very sad death of a great actor.

How sad to hear this - going from having cracked TV with a lead role in a popular series and apparently tip top physical to dead within 18 months.

I've just got hold of spartacus as well to watch as I've heard it's good. Not started it yet. It's going to be slightly odd now when I start watching it knowing the main cheese is now dead.

Just found this thread. I can't belive he died. He is a year younger than me and a lot better shape, just goes to show it can happen to anyone.

This is what gets me about it. He is in incredible physical shape here:



And to be dead 18m later shows it really can happen to anyone. Scary stuff, and has prompted me to get a full checkup.

(Though i'm in nowhere near the shape he is - exact opposite!)

My 17 year old step daughter was devastated when I told her! She said that “No-one that fit should be allowed to die at that age!”

It is very sad, Spartacus ended up being the TV highlight of the year for us - he suited the role very well.
