I've been following the us series and it's actually very enjoyable, just a shame they've kind of just stopped at episode 8 in season 2.

I just hope this is the one with Tanner Foust, Adam Ferrara and Rutledge Wood. Some bits will remind you of top gear uk challenges, but hey, it's cool... they've got funny accents.

Looking forward to seeing this, the cheap car challenges but with old Yank Tanks will be utterly fascinating for me and dovetails nicely with Wheeler Dealers American Dreams, but then I've always had a bit of a soft spot for American motoring.

Well I thought that was pretty good in terms of content. 3 Vipers, 3 Lambos and Buzz Aldrin who despite being a legendary astronaut didn't take up half the show. While the presenters may lack comedy and personality, that's a good thing, they are certainly petrolheads and the content is far straighter than the fiction we get (though I'm sure the Viper "missile fix box" was rigged too). Looks more like something nearer Fifth Gear but with a budget.

DVD recorder?! Is it 2005 tongue out

Saw the second half and thought it was ok. It's a bit dry and doesn't quite have the quality of production of the originator, but I'll certainly watch again. If nothing else, it's another car show smile

I quite liked what I saw of the Aussie one too but that's now been canned.
