That's not bad. The s at work pasted my head on to tyrion and wrote "game of gnomes" on it.

Googled him. That's harsh.
I share an office with three people who are well over six foot. Ones six three and another is six five. Its like being eight again.

Ah, but if you're out in a group, they'll get hit by lightning before you will. There's always a bright side.

They really need to make another Hulk film with Ruffalo, he managed to capture the nerdy vulnerability of Dr Banner as well as the fury and power that is the Hulk perfectly. I am probably one of the few people who enjoyed the first 2 Hulk movies. They are by no means perfect, the first one especially being very poor in places but come on, it's THE HULK. More of Hulk smashing things\people and I'll be happy.
I didn't like the first two hulk films.

Loved this mainly because of hulk And yes Ruffalo 'got it' I think

The secret is I'm always angry

I Need avengers 2 and avengers 2 needs more Hulk/Ruffalo

If I had to criticise the film it would be Loki's whole motivation for allowing himself to be captured and for planning for the Hulk to wreck the helicarrier. It seemed rather tenuous and ill-conceived, even if you allow for the fact that he is "Loki, god of mischief and generally being a bit of a dick".
Please don't take this as falling into the trap of saying it is all implausible - it's a comic after all - but usually even comics have some kind of plausible motivation for a character's actions.

I actually agree with you but I think in this case the end justifies the means.

want to see this again this weekend.

brilliant film.

when I went last weekend I was in the VIP seats and in the middle of the film some divvy woman got up an walked out, came back with a bloody glass of wine. i mean wtf
Over in Singapore we have 'Gold Class' at the cinema and that is a screen where every seat is a Lazy Boy with a blanket and you can order food and drink to the little table you have between you. Normally that is pretty good and a bottle of wine goes down nicely...

I had really been looking forwrad to this after lurking on this thread and we went on Wednesday night... My missus, who hadn't been drinking for the last couple of weeks, thought ordering 3 bottles of wine was a good idea. Consequently, she talked through the last 30mins of the film (voicing her less than positive opinions) and can't remember leaving. Yes, she is on medication...

My enjoyment was obviously not what it should have been, thus I will not comment and will go and see it again. Women frown SWMBO my arse! Never again. She isn't coming with me to The Dark Knight Rises, that's for sure.

Don't forget that the Avengers were the only real plausible threat to Loki's plans. He had to try to take them out of the picture so he decided to go on the attack. Getting captured and taken to the Avengers "secret lair" so to speak is a good move. His distraction allowed Hawkeye and co to track and carry out an attack and he almost succeeded in breaking up the team and destroying the Helicarrier. So while it may seem a bit tenuous, it almost worked and it probably would have if it hadn't been for the "Agent Colson" incident (and Nick Fury's subtle manipulation)

I still don't fully understand Hulks big secret reveal though? Why does the fact that he is "always angry" give him the ability to control his violent outbursts? To me that suggests that he is always on the edge and can go berserk at any minute, surely not a desired state to be in if he is trying to avoid Hulking out? How does being angry all the time allow him to stay calm, doesn't make logical sense to me?

I think that he is always angry shows he is in control most of the time, but can allow himself to go over the edge into the Hulk if he chooses to.

I agree but it shows he is on control all of the time. Like he can control the slide rule that regulates the anger, and when he wants the other guy he can just push it to 11.
I suppose he can still be pushed far enough like on the helipad...how does that happen again I forget?

Was but wasn't?

Wiki said:
A blending of the voices of Mark Ruffalo and Lou Ferrigno (uncredited)[15] comprised the Hulk's voice.[16][17][18] Ferrigno played the character in the 1977–82 TV series, and voiced him in 2008's The Incredible Hulk.

I think Lokis plan relates when Hakweys says he needs a distraction. While sheild are distracted on the helicarrier it allows the scientist guy time to set up on Stark Towers

i watched it Sunday thumbup

cant say i have 'geek'd out' so much in other Comicbook films recently. but this one pushed me over the edge!
i laughed hard at bits, went oooooooo thats like the comics at others and just LOVED the rest of it!

i always think Iron Man is my fave Superhero, Starks's one liners and sarcasm is so well written/delivered . . . . but then they make The Hulk that bit better everytime they film him i keep reverting back.

i find myself trying to introduce ' Tank.SMASH ' into my everyday conversations. the mrs looks on disaprovingly, others just look puzzled and a little weirded out by me biggrin

Downey Jr is an inspired choice and I think he has been top notch in all his Iron Man appearances. In this movie he still managed to shine without overshadowing the rest of the cast. In his immortal words, "Doesn't play well with others", he did in this movie.

I still think Hulk just about stole the show though, just for his awesomeness but I think this was a very astute move on Whedons' part. Previous Hulk outings have not recieved glowing praise so it was as if Whedon was making a firm statement "THIS is how you do The Hulk".

He is one of those actors who was born for the role. a bit like Hugh Jackman and wolverine. Just perfect selection for the part.
