Hospital scene was great, wasn’t sure what the bloke sneaking on was gonna do, bomb, gun? End ups taking a photo which turned out to be way more dangerous... great TV, loved it.
Got in a bit easily though.
Plot hole alert.... How did he know he'd be able to get that photo with no medical attendants in? And if he didn't know that, then why go in with a camera in the first place? Or maybe he's just very good at photoshop....

I do wonder where this series is going. Last series saw an assassination attempt against POTUS and mass arrests of "dissidents", so I assume it won't go down those roads again.

Did you not see what he did?

he went to find it, and then took a photo when the fewest people were about and then cropped the photo to avoid showing anyone else in the room at the time.

That was the whole point. There were plenty of attendants in place, but he was able to quickly crop them all out of the photo at the right moment, thus creating the fake news story that led to the rest of the events

I'm think this. I assume it's some "deep state" plot to overthrow POTUS and it'll be Carrie who finds it out and stops it.

Is there any point, really, in Frannie?
Stops Carrie going flat out / irresposible
Carrie will go totally batst mental anyway, irrespective of being a mother.

Having a child seems to be incredibly irritating, annoying, and inconvenient for her.
If I recall, the pregnancy certainly wasn’t planned!

It was designed to be "fake news", i.e. he photoshopped out the attendants in the room with the boy.

What I couldn't work out, though, is who he is (the guy who took the photo) and/or who asked him to do it.

Whom he is.. well I have a theory, based on the other TV show I've seen that chap in, and his nationality in real life..

Won't say more than that for now, but I'm fairly certain it foreshadows this years season arc.

It's quite an epidemic at the moment, Brits playing the big American characters over in the US at the moment.

From another massive show The Walking Dead: Andrew Lincoln as 'Rick Grimes'.

Don't forget Hugh Laurie as 'House'.

Is there a big shortage of Americans to play Americans?
Lennie James and David Morrissey in Walking Dead

Ian McShane has been in a few things.

And my favourite is Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy who was in Biker Grove.

HBO love Brits to lead their shows. Sopranos stands out as having no Brits as leads

ha ha, yeah your thoughts may be confirmed in the next episode (5). These types of series seem very topical lately. Designated Survivor has a few 'real life' things weaved into the plot too.

Almost nothing happend in that last episode.

Really poor.

When you think back to how utterly gripping the first 3 seasons where... every episode was like watching a movie there was that much packed into it. Edge of your seat stuff.

As with the majority of these types of popular programmes, they try and milk it a few series too far rather than bring it to an end at the top.

Can’t think of too many American men successfully playing Brits. Christopher Guest and Michael McKean obviously spring to mind. After that we’re down to Dick Van Dyke. rofl

I recall being surprised that Guest was American...in the same way I was surprised that Elba and McNulty were English. biggrin

I thought last nights episode was really good! There definitely seems to be a process of one good episode, followed by a slow one, repeat.

Apart from Carrie's annoying lip wobble returning, it was good to see her back in spy mode, seducing Dante to raid his apartment.

The French chick seems like she belongs on the divorcing empty nesters thread...

Maybe it's Saul, and he's throwing Carrie off the scent.
