I threw on one of the very first episodes the other day whilst at a loose end. Bloody hell Louis has changed!

A note in the paper the other day said that Dave will not be showing the next series of Suits.

Hopefully Netflix will buy it instead so we can binge watch the entire season without adverts.

Bugger - on one hand it seems to be a very weird decision especially given that in a recent interview, with one of the shows creators, it was said that Suits currently has it's biggest worldwide interest to date due to Prince Harry dating Meghan Markle. On the other hand of course, maybe that's the reason UKTV have dropped it as the US broadcaster could have demanded significantly more £££££ for the UK rights due to the increased interest in the show?

I found a press release online from UKTV:

UKTV said:
Suits has been an important and much-loved part of Dave’s schedule for a number of years, but as the channel evolves so must its programme offering. We can confirm that Dave will NOT be renewing its licensing deal for Suits following the end of the sixth season of the show
I wonder what "as the channel evolves" means? Does this mean they'll finally drop the endless looped re-runs of old / out of date Top Gear laugh

Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait to see what happens with regards to the UK rights frown

Basically they couldn't afford the ££££££££ to show it.

I think season 7 starts airing next week in the US, and Dave used to be about about 48 hours behind (IIRC).

I hope we don't end up doing some dodgy streaming via the US to watch them!

Netflix UK tend to get the series a few months after Dave, so maybe they'll have it at launch instead?

It's very disappointing, I enjoy the show a lot. But my broadband simply isn't up to streaming and so on, so it'll be down to avoiding this thread for spoilers and getting a DVD once it's cheap enough.

Hopefully it does get picked up otherwise the chance of a UK DVD release will go right down frown (Although yes I understand "everyone" wants to stream nowadays and not own a physical product rolleyes )

There's been a few US series shown over here in years gone by where the region2 DVD's stopped once the show dropped off a specific broadcaster so I had to resort to importing the Region1 release from the US instead. Rather annoying when you get all the seasons and then find the final season doesn't get slated for release banghead

Even the last season of Person of Interest, that finished a month or so ago, still hasn't been slated for a UK region2 release possibly because it was dropped from 5 to 5USA frown

So, has anyone discovered if and when S7 is being screened on these shores?

I don't want to have to move to the US to get my fix....

And, if it does get picked up by another channel, will we have to start another thread or put up with this one having an iffy title?
