Southern Comfort advert.
First advert for a looooooooooonnnnnnnnggg time where I found it as irresistible as an episode of Game of Thrones.
Fantastic.
Got to say, I was thinking what the hell is this for and was very surprised when it turned out to be Southern Comfort. Clever as it is completely different to all their other ads featuring gorgeous people doing exciting things in New Orleans.First advert for a looooooooooonnnnnnnnggg time where I found it as irresistible as an episode of Game of Thrones.
Fantastic.
Sort of similar to Cadburys adverts.
The new Visa advert in the toyshop is quite cool too.

Yip and yip.Thought it was going to be a piss take for a while, but I still watched it...and it wasn't a piss take! Just a normal fella enjoying his booze in the sun, fking A!
Makes all those cookie cutter ads (like Morgan's rum) with a bunch of model wkers appear even stter than normal if that's even possible.
I like this ...wonder if they argued who would drive which one..?

Agree with all of the above, it's a fantastic advert.Thought it was going to be a piss take for a while, but I still watched it...and it wasn't a piss take! Just a normal fella enjoying his booze in the sun, fking A!

This Southern Comfort ad, I can see how you all think it is good, because it displays a positive message (as much as an alcoholic drink can), but realistically, how many more times do you think you'll sit through it?
I got it first time around, didn't really remember what it advertised though, then the second time I saw it, which was on 3 or 4 days later, as it was happening, I began to remember the brand and product. The 3rd time I see it, I'll probably do anything else not to watch a fat swolen man walking on the beach.
Just my 2pence.

Saw this one while on holiday in the US last month. Creased me up every time.

One or two of those Aviva ones with Paul Whitehouse make me chuckle. Green Army!
Agreed The ad for life insurance reduced a grown man to tears the first time I saw it! Did. not. expect that.. Simple, understated and very effective.
Another ad that had a real effect on me was the truly great Impossible Dream ad.

I couldn't afford a new Honda but it was directly responsible for me eventually buying an Accord Type R. Shame it was a dog
Those of us of a certain age will though forever have those 1970's government safety ads ingrained on our minds: playing on railways, reservoirs and that ad with broken glass on the beach. Yowch!!
My current favourite. Need for Speed.
Just makes me smile everytime i see it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ca-lV3LRxEY
