New Doctor Who Series
Discussion
Oswin was on her first trip, Going to see the universe. I cannot see the Doctor taking a Dalek as a companion and She is seen in the clips and photos thus far as Human. The Doctor would have to intercept her before she joins the Alaska but Moffat is really starting to throw a few curve balls. I suspect that when filming they would not even know "Who" it was they were supposed to be talking to.
There also seems to be BIG gaps in-between the episodes in this season. They concentrate on his visits to Amy And Rory until they leave in "Angels take Manhattan".
Yet Again we hear "Doctor Who?" that may become significant.

Sadly, there will be no "getting her out" of the dalek body where Oswin is concerned. A total conversion means her human body has been mutated into the tentacled blob mass similar to the Dalek in the glass tube.
She resolutely refused to believe that she was anything but a human and the whole control room setup/kitchen was in her mind, so the asylum was probably a befitting place for her. A bit derivative of the film Source Code IMHO
I'm gonna post this as no one else has and it's been implied but not actually said by those who seem to know already. She resolutely refused to believe that she was anything but a human and the whole control room setup/kitchen was in her mind, so the asylum was probably a befitting place for her. The actress who played the female/Dalek character has already been confirmed as the next companion when Rory and Amy leave during this series.
Therefore unless they pretend she wasnt in this episode, which seems unlikely, there's going to need to be a very interesting twist to the story.

I thought Melody Pond is their kid?
She is, but there was damage done at Demon's Run when Amy gave birth which means Amy can't have children. They never had chance to have Melody as a child so they don't 'view' her that way entirely.MiniMan64 said:

They did that with Freema Agyeman who first appeared on Doctor Who in the Series 2 episode Army of Ghosts as Adeola Oshodi, a Torchwood Institute employee, who was an early victim of the Cybermen. ali_kat said:

It was OK. I think Cowen died a death on the exploding planet, however
Which makes its so interesting. We know she's going to be a future companion, this series, so either she escaped somehow and the Doctor will have a companion who knows what it's like to be a Dalek OR he'll have a companion that he knows will be turned into one at some point. It will be a mistake of the doctor's that causes Amy pond to die / leave. More specifically, he will forget to do something. In a piqué of guilt, he will remember oswin's plea to not forget her, and will return to some point in her past and collect her - perhsps just when the alaska crashes because he has time and place where he knows she will be. One problem will be, however, the factthat twelve years ago, when oswin's ship crashed, the daleks still knew who he was. Just a thought.
Anyway, was it just me or did anyone else think that Moffat had been watching too much Source Code when writing this episode?

They did that with Freema Agyeman who first appeared on Doctor Who in the Series 2 episode Army of Ghosts as Adeola Oshodi, a Torchwood Institute employee, who was an early victim of the Cybermen. According to Doctor Who 'lore' such that it is, Adeola was supposed to be Marthas cousin hence the family resemblence. Or some st like that.
The Gwen bird from Torchwood also appeared in an episode of Doctor Who previously, I believe they linked that too as a "family connection". Seems they like to test out their actresses first!
Anyway, I shall be interested to see how this one plays out over the series, nice little twist in the tail.
