When did the background music get added? Gah.
That and the camera work I posted about a couple of pages back has ruined it for me.

Perhaps the budget has been stripped and they can't have tripods any more, I don't know.

Hands up who wants a cream egg and custard pie though ?
I joined his facebook page after the broadcast, seems like loads of people do!

Sadly it is apparent he is just making them in his home kitchen on his own so probably only makes a handful a day!

Before trying to approach people like the dragons, he would be better off doing a tie-up with a local cafe or butchers or branch of the coop (some of them have little sections of shelving for "ultra local produce"), and getting an assistant chef. But I suspect he already knows that he simply cannot reliably make the quantities that even those small outlets would want, so he hasn't been there.

I would certainly wonder if he knows and adheres to all the ins and outs of food hygiene, provenance, and allergy labelling that food manufacturers have to be aware of these days, his facebook page doesn't give me much confidence.

Me neither ,their valuation of 60 to 100M pounds in 3 years was a bit optimistic.

Just a bit.

The idea has a lot of merit, but think it is as you say.

You're right ,BBC must've made a booboo and needed something to fill the 8pm slot tonight.

A new series starts this evening at 8 o'clock.

Dragons' Den is back for its seventeenth series, and a there is a new fire breather in town. Crafting queen Sara Davies, the youngest ever Dragon, joins titans of industry Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman and Tej Lalvani in a den that is hotter than ever. In this fierce first episode, a spiced rum entrepreneur gets the party started by giving the den a rock 'n' roll makeover.

A husband and wife team bring along a four-legged friend to help them achieve their ambition for their pet food business. And a toilet gadget inventor hopes to get investment by talking dirty to the Dragons.
