Anybody else laugh when he turned those bike lights on?
I did have a bit of a 'WTF' moment. Those clip on the spokes lights would have a similar effect, I'd say.Felt a tad sorry for the chap as think his heart was in the right place.
You can get 5m of the exact same EL string, complete with battery box on Amazon for £8, and probably far less direct from AliExpress or Wish. Why on earth did he think it was worth £50?
Besides, spoke lights or even just a few lines of reflective tape on the frame would actually be more effective when lit by oncoming car headlights.
I would propose that pretty much all the "side on" lighting effects are a waste of time anyway, by the time the driver has seen such lights or reflections in front of him at a junction then you're either so close that being hit is inevitable or far enough away that you'll just carry on across the path of the car and no harm done.
The pasta straw clown, how come none of the dragons pressed him on what it tasted like / how it affected the drink taste (I know it is only flour and water but that still has a slight taste or taint), or on the absolute minefield it would create for anyone with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance? Or the cost per straw, which is immense according to his website prices. Or properly quizzed him on the environmental impact (I know Debs asked him a little bit), those pasta tubes will be (relatively) far far heavier and bulkier than plastic straws, therefore far more environmental damage shipping the things around than an uber lightweight bag of plastic straws. And that's before you get into the environmental cost of the heavier trash that the bars will have to have shipped away, the impact of the water needed to grow the wheat to form the flour etc etc - the list of environmental sins is immense when you start to properly poke into a product like that. What sort of bag does he supply them in to ensure they stay dry and don't decompose on route to the bar/home?

The whole plastic straw/environmental impact situation we've found ourselves in is absolutely baffling to me. Why couldn't these environmental people focus on something which will have a greater impact?! Truly baffling. kev1974 said:

I thought about potential choking risk with a small child biting on them whilst trying to drink.
It certainly wasn’t a worldwide solution to plastic straws.

Not really sure why they saw him as investable? - Surely Joe Wickes is the reason why the Body Coach venture was successful? - not that bloke?Mind you, this seamstress....eye watering losses for repairing clothes
And I hate the 'disruptive' expression.

Can somebody please explain why anybody would buy a tool to pick up a chain thats come off on a bicycle.
Just press the front derailleur and turn the pedals and it goes back on again.
WTF !
Oil. The rear mech. on my hybrid is filthy - and that's the bike I use to get into the office. Plus, you have to hook the chain back onto the front rings, again, getting your fingers filthy.Just press the front derailleur and turn the pedals and it goes back on again.
WTF !
I liked the product. Not sure Deborah was the right partner - I'd have wanted to negotiate Theo down, as he was the only one who has a retail outlet for this and future products.
