I couldn't understand the amount of interest the space guys had from the dragons. They must have been seeing a lot of other potential (that the two guys seemed to rattle through in their opening spiel before then settling on the ashes in space opportunity) in the other arms of the business.
The figures were wildly out, so one launch a day for £700 that costs them £300 and presumably that doesn't include their salaries ?? I thought they were going to say something like charging £3k of which we make £2.5k profit for each launch, we expect to be launching up to 5 per day in 3 years time etc.
It's just a set up, if you ask me, the valuation should have had it kicked out anyway, but, the funereal business didn't seem that viable either.

I think it's all set up! There was no mileage in those clip on tails, and could be copied so easily, 2 things the dragons hate!

would be interesting to know what goes on we dont see, do they show proper accounts? do much more in-depth DD? do pitchers get a seat or have to stand for 3 hours?
I don’t think it happens there and then, but due diligence is applied.

I’m not surprised this thread is so quiet now.

DD is nearly always food/drink, health care, apps, or clothes these days frown

Yeah I sometimes now flick through when it’s food or drink etc. used to love it years ago when it was mostly wacky inventions. Not as interesting now.
Think you spoke too soon lol

I wonder how much Brexit has had? In the past you could design a product, have it made in China, import to the UK, and distribute EU-wide. Today that's just not possible for many types of product, never mind the increased costs red tape etc. So the addressable market for "stuff" has really tanked - you'd need an EU distributor / EU operation for a lot of these things.
If EU countries have their own version of DD, I bet you they have also sunk to peddling st products, just like the U.K.!
