Classic Car Rescue, tonight 8pm, C5.
Discussion
A tenner says all of us moaners watch next week & come back for another moan.
What they've obviously done though is decide that Bernie is the money shot & the car is secondary, hence all the way to the 2nd segment before we see the car. Then a gloss over the awful resto & a bunch of rigged up drama for the win/distraction.
Load of old nonsense.

Yup! Having now seen the whole of the clip on the starting of the engine agree, as a lot of the smoke decreased after a few seconds - oil not water. Well, that and the fact that the carbs have been sorted. Sure he said he had over filled them which caused the smoking engine.

They where SU's weren't they, you can fill the things to the top with oil and all they do is spit the over fill out of the hole at the top of the cap.

It's a long time ago since I had SU's but, seem to remember they can stick if incorrect oil is used and flood the engine. Mind, I would not be surprised to learn that they did it for effect/drama. Sure he said he had over filled them which caused the smoking engine.
