Didn't they also build the Mercedes G-Wagon and Unimog?
Steyr are these days specialists in small scale manufacturing, especially 4wd variants. They build the Mini Countryman, have had a hand in building some of BMWs iX models, Jeeps, build the Aston Rapide and I also remember them building the original Panda 4x4.

The thing I really fins daft on this is the loud mouthed bald guy waiting for his cue to kick off. If you watch it you can see him actually just waiting to deliver his line.
Can't say I am enjoying this series as much as the last. Maybe its the time its on or something. I seem to recall the first series being on a Monday night in the winter.

Thanks very much, I was looking for a reason to stop watching this but now I'll be watching Bernie about to kick off!

Watching it now - £2k for an extra 6bhp!

I know that a port, polished and gas flowed K-Series head costs around £500!
Made me lol. I love how many times he mentioned this figure he plucked out of thin air (like most of the other 'facts' on the whole programe)

Just watched this on my Sky+, can't help but notice the little disclaimer Channel 5 now have at the start of the programme almost as if their distancing themselves from the production.

1) Buys a wreck suitable for spares only from someone who professionally restores them already.
2) Moan about it
3) Tap the chassis with a hammer, take some panels off and put car in respray booth.
4) wheel in replacement car
5) Ta-da! finished.
