Watched this easter weekend:

Afternoon Delight.
Subburban mum is down on life, befriends a stripper/we, mum wants out of her rut and tries to turn both their lives around.
Good, but we got bored half way through. Kind of a journey of discovery film.

Escape Plan.
Arnie is cool as in this epecially the scene at the end with the helicopter machine gun! smile stallones is semi decent too.

Saving Mr Banks.
We both loved this. Sauntering down memory lane with Mary Poppins and the songs. Emma Thompson is great in this!

I agreed with iroc - Crank was garbage.
Ah well. That's what this thread is about, I suppose. Each to their own.
For balance, I completely agree with you, Crank is great fun and superbly filmed smile

Zulu - Pretty much an hour and a half long episode of CSI, set in South Africa and makes me never want to visit there.

Mud - Probably one of McConaughey's lesser known films over the past few years, but one of his best in my opinion. Good story and a great film.

Rocky Balboa: Really good, almost enough to wipe the memory of Rocky V from my memory.

Toy Story 3: Very good, very sad. I didn't like Toy Story 2, but this one was very enjoyable.

Ah, I see. Well, I can tell you, Orlando Bloom won't be a patch on Michael Caine. And Forrest Whitaker's too fat to be a Zulu warrior.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

About what I was expecting from Terry Gilliam - eccentric, creative, fantastical with a dark edge and a very clear hat-tip to Faust. Decent overall film - maybe 7/10 - but not one I'll rave about or rush out to buy. Heath Ledger was of course pretty good but not up to his Batman performance...

The Iceman

Winona Ryder stole the show here, a good film but I felt that the pacing was a little off.

Not the recent "The Sweeney" surely? 8... out of 10? Not 100?

Hmm I thought it was pretty disappointing. Poor character development and lost its way. 6/10
