Isn't it Justin(?), who took over from Aaron effectively, a pebble beach winning mustang builder?
Yes, he was the lead mechanic / builder (don't know correct term) until Bass came in. He's also quite good at managing both up, and down, unlike a few others that have been on the show.I was under the impression that he continued to be the Foreman even after Bass joined.

He would be perfect if GMG just does muscle car restorations or buying and flipping them, rather than what they have been doing.
I'll stick to watching Brian's youtube vid's to watch his metalwork skills.
It was mentioned in one of the later episodes that Richards father has dementia and is getting on in life so maybe now he has made the money he can now concentrate in spending time with his father. Lets be honest the series has run its course now.
Anyone else watching the new show GAS got 2 guys from west coast customs they did shelbys pantera which was a cool story one I didn't know about. Seems its more about the cars and the stories over being a reality based car show.

Just watched that ep with the '55 Crown Vic. I thought it was a really nice thing he did. his dad seemed to absolutely love it. I think I counted 9 Cartier bracelets on his wrist, and he's wearing a different watch pretty much every day, he's definitley made his bank over the last 10 years

As with most car mod/build shows over the years they do less about the build, engineering and into the lives of the people, make mini parts of the how about visiting a horse race, how RR spends his money on other projects.
Ive been watching since the start, 2018 took the family for a lovely 800 mile round trip from Orlando to Key west for a long weekend to see the sights but also visit the GMG bar and grill, drink his tequila which was planned just the family did not know
Also F&L used to be on a good few weeks every 8 to 12months. now your lucky to get it in 18 months it seems.
Much like OCC things start, you get into it then it fades.
Just glad I have motortrend on demand for Roadkill, Dirt every day, Roadkill garage etc... Which I have preferred watching Roadkill to most regular TV car build shows in the past few years

2nd that for sure! I recently signed up for more Roadkill but now into many more of the shows that are available. Even the other half is enjoying the B itchin Rides extra show where they have setup the competition for a new employee. ZX10R NIN said:

Thread Necro, watched the first couple of seasons of this "real time" back in the day but then drifted away from it. I recently binged the lot (even in the terrible order that series link/catchup seems to have it catalogued) and I'm wondering what the score is now with Gas Monkey garage now that the show has finished, particularly with this quote in mind:
I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting the older stuff, but it's probably ended at the right time as the format can only be regurgitated so many times.

Sorry to pop anyone's bubble, but I visited the FnL garage in July and it is purely a studio set - yes it is a functioning garage/workshop, but seems only to be active when they are filming. There is a big souvenir shop selling branded merchandise at the front, all the series' cars are parked out in the lot and the place is overrun with tourists.
It kind of makes sense, RR has his bar and grill down the road, is now selling GM branded cruises and doubtless has many other businesses and Aaron apparently also runs his own garage business. Like a pub rock band, there's no doubt the team does get together and works on cars in the garage during series filming, but it's basically like a TV soap all the trips out to buy cars, selling them and the auctions etc. are all staged for the filming even if they are actually happening (if that makes sense).
It still looks like from various social media feeds that GMG is very much a functioning garage still, with RR still posting on FB about going out and flipping cars. Does the premises still exist for fans to visit/buy merchandise etc and is it now a fully functioning garage now that the TV crews have moved on?It kind of makes sense, RR has his bar and grill down the road, is now selling GM branded cruises and doubtless has many other businesses and Aaron apparently also runs his own garage business. This is around social media and merchandising. When the contract was signed social media was not a big thing and all the people on TV shows like GMG signed away their social media and gave ownership of merchandising to the network. Now that the Kardashians can make $1M/post, everyone wants their social media rights back. For many, the networks will not play ball so they have to find a new home.
It is not a petty small thing. Racheal Ray has earned hundreds of millions more as a result of fighting to own her social media and merchandise.

Incidentally for the benefit of this thread Richard Rawlins announced on the Joe Rogan podcast recently that "Fast'n'Loud" as a television entity is no more. Where this leaves all his other properties and assets: who knows?

I would guess, while the show gets repeated on a regular basis, the 'brand' still has some worth in terms of T Shirts and bar n grille......but I would guess that will diminish over time. Last show was filmed about 2 years ago now I believe...?
