Winter Road Rescue Ch5

Agreed - it's even worse than John Thompson on Police Interceptors.
Did he call traffic cones "Emergency Traffic Management"?
He did, cones, signs and lights are classed as ETM equipment, as we use them for traffic management in an emergency. It was the name given to the kit when we first started over a decade ago. Did he call traffic cones "Emergency Traffic Management"?
I think the script must have been written by someone who works in Health & Safety. The breathless narrator implies ludicrously improbable situations - it's been snowing, so by implication 100s may die. It's winter, so we all have to prepare ourselves for death and destruction. Best put on your hard hat, snow can be heavy on the head.....

Watched the first one on catch up last night. Pretty awful.
"John narrowly misses CERTAIN DEATH!!!!!"
Not that certain was it?
How many times did the Mercedes crash?
When the Astra crashed on a bend it was really really dangerous yet they faffed about interviewing people!
The 2 car accident with the kid in the car was in a really dangerous place but no attempt to drive the cars up the slip road to a safer place despite the worst damaged one being able to drive onto the recovery truck?

There's just so much bo**ox spouted in this programme, like the chap broken down on the 'motorway' when in fact they were at the traffic lights at the end of the slipway - didn't dissuade the commentator from going through the 'traffic passing just inches away at 70 MPH'.
1440 inches is still inches They do seem to be trying to copy the American shows by making things over dramatic.

That is why I do not watch American programmes; lack of acting ability, speaking in whispers and over dramatics. Which in truth is a tad perplexing as am still watching this programme! They do seem to be trying to copy the American shows by making things over dramatic.
Has had a massive near fatal crash = Bit of a nudge
The massive damage inflicted by heavy impact with a tree = Rested against sapling and bent the wing a bit.
Could have easily been killed = If something very different had happened.
I had to stop watching, the commentary is so over dramatised and such bks.

Especially ridiculous as he had stopped right next to a MASSIVE 40 MPH sign.WilliamWoollard said:

After the totally over the top drama about the pick-up in the ditch we could not bear it any longer and turned over. Vowed never to try and watch it ever again.
We find the narrators voice very, very annoying.
I think it's Neil Morrissey doing the voiceover but I didn't bother to check at the end.We find the narrators voice very, very annoying.
