Don't know what cars they're doing yet, it's still Elvis doing the spanner works.

I saw some leaked screenshots where he's working on a Ferrari 250 TDF and an Elva.

I know nicknames are given, not chosen, and all that but "Elvis" is a bit st for someone whose surname is not Presley; it's Priestley. I would have called him "Vic[ar]" or "Bish" or something.

I assumed he made up his own nickname but always says "Well, everyone calles me Elvis". Because yes, it's a rubbish nickname.

There was a Mike / Wheeler Dealer post on FB yesterday of a white MK1 Golf Cab, Blue Dolomite, Bangle 6 series, Volvo 245, 911, some old R-R I assume 1970's & a 60's style Land Cruiser so that'll be some of the cars. & Elvis featured too.

I rather enjoyed that Bedford Dormobile episode but don't think the red cabinets suited it especially when they painted it in the blue colour. That chap Derek?? looked to have some interesting motors in his shed. Noticed a GTO. I like Elvis as he explains everything very well and doesn't play up to the camera like Ant did but saying that I did like some of the work that Ant did.
I’m so behind i’ve just watched this one.
Not sure when it was filmed but I’m fumin hun.

Bought for £4.5k, Spend around £6k (God knows how many man hours) and sell for a measly £11.5k.

Buyer must have thought it was Christmas, I thought they were gonna be on for £20k minimum.

Looks like the buyers doubled his money nearly too ffs and can’t even be arsed to fix the headlining

No mugs, I mean takers smile it seems at £21k. 'Colin' is in the next CCA auction on the weekend of 25th March. Guide price is £14k - £18k, more like it:

Just watching an old one with a Renault alpine. I have to hand it to Mike, after the series eventually finishes, he will have left a large body of work that can be respected, with many interesting models.

It’s a shame he’s still the face of it tbh, IMO it holds the show back?

A nickname isn’t usually anything you choose yourself, and once chosen often difficult to shake off. I would imagine someone misheard Priestley for Presley when introduced, a comment was made and it stuck.

A large number of cars, with a decent proportion being interesting, I'll grant you. "Body of work", I struggle with. smile

Yeah I know it’s not high quality physics body of work or summink, but it’s quite impressive to complete a large number of series, and they have covered many models. I assume Mike has been the driving force of making the programme happen.p, if you know what I mean, and probably had to persuade tv production companies etc to do certain things / try america etc

You know when Mike would rock up in a car and Edd/Ant/Elvis would ask "So what's wrong with it then?", and Mike would reply something like "Why do you always assume that there's a problem with any car I bring to you?"

Just once I would have liked to see Edd/Ant/Elvis reply "because it's the central premise of the show, Mike."
Plus he always "guesses" exactly what is wrong, even if it's a sprig-socket quantifork in the indicator shifter.

That looks like fun. Minus the stickers though.
