I love those Elans, good episode. Was it just me or did that paintwork look a bit faded?
They were raving over the paint, but I thought it looked terrible.

The red on the M100 is a fairly orangey red anyway.

I thought it looked fine.

Edit: this was mine

I did wonder why they did not show the pop up headlights in operation and then noted the actuators being in the list of costs incurred.

It was covered in scratches and swirl marks. Needed a decent paint correction.
Yours looks good. Red definately suits them.

I'm not alone, but I may be in a minority, because I cannot, and have never been able to find any love at all for any element of an M100 Elan.

Ah, ok. I must have missed that. paperbag

I sold mine years ago, so it would have been significantly younger (at the time the photo was taken) than the car in Wheeler Dealers. And, being a UK car, subject to less sunlight too. smile

He also said he considered them consumables, so it was worth replacing whilst he had it out.

Catching up with this lot now. Just watched the Capri episode now onto the Corvette one (skipped the MR2 episode as no interest in them tbh).

Enjoying it tbh

If you think that's bad wait until you spend an hour watching Ant do a service on a MINI Cooper. Totally jumped the shark at that point, and I won't watch another episode after that.

What I don't understand on that episode is why Ant did the work on the part of the cooling system (I forget which but think it was the thermostat) which is on the supercharger first while it was still fitted to the car, rather than doing it once he had removed it. Weird.

I don't remember that bit to be honest, I stopped watching half way through when it was clear all he was doing was a service on the thing. And to be honest I've not watched another episode since.

I saw the one last week where Mike did up an old truck. Had a new engine, but the body was tatty and the interior knackered. Woman he bought it off was very nice though.
The whole show was very strange though with only a couple of appearances from Edd and Mike doing a fair amount of the work.
I didn't rate it at all.
