Just individual projects, I guess.

Ant still does the normal Wheeler dealers. He lives on LA now with his American wife and new baby.

From following them on Twitter it seemed Brewer was doing this show in the UK while Ant was doing “Ant Anstead, Master Mechanic“ for Motortrend.

Watch it - it's very good and I'm sure he says he's doing it in his downtime between series.

I watched it as I love any car TV show however I didnt rate it. Perhaps Ive had enough of this played out format, or had enough of Mike and numerous `unlreleastic` costs / activities. Also, Mike isnt aging well which I know isnt his fault, or car related, but disturbing :-) Plus I hate seeing 50+ year old guys now using this modern day way of shaking hands / high 5'ing, really grates me.

I will admit now I was one of the guys that wasnt happy Edd left but realise shows change but I never really `clicked` with Ant. I liked him in the `love of cars` but didnt in WD. I felt the friendship between them accelerated in developed and so false. Now he has drifted off into a new `master mechnic` programme where he is building some sports car. Again I tried to watch that but I just dont like him. Mike is now using a new chap, Elvis, ok seems ok but if honest mike now needs to replace himself as he is the shows bottleneck.

If honest, Im now transitioning over to Youtube and the many great channels. Calvin's car dairy, UK Salvage, B is for Build are ust a few that are great. The content is far more real, far more `in reach of the private buyer / hobbist mechanic' and I find this shows far more `real`, less polished and far more enjoyable. You see the real costs, the real issues. WD uses endless mechanics on the side to prepare cars / engines etc. With the Youtube channel its nromally the guy, perhaps with some friends, doing it. ITs far more real, dirty and enjoyable.

I gave up on this as soon as we got to putting stripes on the mini. Honestly it was just not holding my attention. I have been finding the same with regular Wheeler dealers anyway due to the very uninspiring car choices and I just did not fancy sitting through 40 minutes until we got to the interesting car.

I did think that was toppish to say the least. However if someone hadn’t “bought” it at that privevthe programme would’ve been even more convoluted.

I resisted the urge to check the MoT histories, but he didn't exactly give the Land Rover a decent check over before buying it. As for the Cooper, why not just give it a decent detail and put 17" S wheels on it ? It would have looked so much better than cheap, wonky stripes.

It seems to me that Mike Brewer is trying to wring as much as he can from the Wheeler Dealers format. Saying that I found it alright but I preferred his Wheeler Dealers trading up to this format.

Mike Brewer doesnt 'alf get into rows over twitter. He hasnt learnt to just ignore people / twitter trolls and the more you reply the more they attack him.

Edd's departure still causes Mike a lot of issues.

Mike was also saying how he wrote Car SOS and sold it to a TV station. Seem he's done quite a few shops. Whether that's true or not I dont know.

Watched it last night, it was just ok, at least I didn't switch it off. It's an entertainment show, I won't be plusing it but may watch again if there's nothing else on.

Episode 2, no way anyone would have bought that horrendous white SL with a totally different white body kit for 10k. Mk2 Escort is now SORN and the owner may want to update the engine capacity with the DVLA

He might also want to put an air filter on that, too.

He might want to sort the roll cage too. There was a 6" section sticking out right by the drivers and passengers head, I assume for joining the front section to. They needed padding on them at least.
Nice little Escort apart from that and a few other bits not to my taste (front lights and numberplates) and it looked to have been built well.
