I love the show. OK Mike is a bit of a plonker but I reckon most of it's an act and he certainly doesn't take himsefl serioulsy.

As for the "money" yep it doesn't really balance out. But so what? The only thing that bugs me is when Edd magics up some bonkers bit of kit like that 4 wheel Laser alignment rig! lol, seriously you'd have to add rental of that into the costs!

I'm a fan. That Boxster S for £1K was a bit unbelievable.....and then they spent over £1k updating the lights to facelift spec.

Let's hear it for Mike " 'Old out yer 'and " Brewer.

Three pages in and no mention of Paul, the true star of Wheeler Dealers! wink
Paul, yeah wooden acting & no charisma. Probably has some annoying "northern" accent which is why he's not allowed to speak.

lol - btw!

Great episode yesterday (the blue Beetle) where the punter makes Mike a cheeky offer then tells Mike to "'old out yer 'and".

The point is, Edd is playing the part of YOU.
You buy a car
So Edd = You

You buy a car, therefore You = Mike,

therefore

Edd = Mike.

I wish Discovery would put full episodes online after a certain length of time. I've watched all the really old ones on Youtube.

I did like the guy who sold the Morris. flat hat, small tash, ideal fodder to be driving a very non descript Kia,or the like in 20yrs time, the moggie must have been his apprenticeship. Rather like little old grannies who were always 5ft tall and dressed like the one in Giles cartoons, they are still around today, exactly the same, and when you think that some of these were doing the swinging sixties and free love bit it is rather scary!! Back in the 50's my dad told me to always be aware of old men in hats driving, then, Standards 8's Minors,Ford Populars, the early perpendicular style. And despite the yoof of the day being more streetwise over the years, i still see the same type of guy driving about today. There is no hope for us, we will all evolve into our granddads. The man is living dinosaur,

All these great cars have featured on the program:

Aston Martin DB7
Bentley Mulsanne Turbo
BMW 840
BMW M5
Corvette C4
Delorean
Ferrari 308 Dino
Fiat Dino
Jaguar E type
Jensen Interceptor
Lotus Élan Mk1
Lotus Esprit 2.2
Mercedes 300SL
Porsche 928
Porsche 911 Targa
Porsche Boxster
TVR S2
Volvo P1800

I must have forgotten/missed some other good episodes!

I like the show and generally like what they do to the cars. It's good entertainment and its reasonably informative. Who cares that the programme is set-up/edited - what tv programme isn't?!

That was one of the bad ones...a bit like the Subaru episode. One to miss.

One of the best was the "mini monster truck" episode.

All that work and it was so rotten no MOT could/would be issued. Brewers buying was on top form for that episode.

was anyone else slightly disappointed with the TVR Cerbera

they seem to spend a lot of money on pointless things.

The wheels for example didn't need anything other than a good clean but they went to the bother of spraying them black

Edd China is a mechanical genius but some of the decisions he make with regards to paint colours, styling and interiors are terrible.

Yep, the wheels looked hideous but I suppose it adds more interest to the program if there is a significant visual change to the vehicle for the before/after shots. Either way, a full chassis change was a serious undertaking, quite enjoyed the episode.
