Not a great episode, however knowing lots of kids were watching I really liked how the subtext was an allegory of organised religions- showing them as the utter fabrication that they are.

The Doctor even referred to the planet's 'god' as a parasite.

As far as I'm concerned, that was refreshing. We need more of thissmile

Not the best story by a long shot - since Moffat took over the stories all seem very wishy washy, 'oh he took my soul' type crap, relying on sometimes crap CGI to gloss over the huge plot holes.

Inetersting how every previous companion has been able to understand aliens, but Clara couldn't - maybe because the TARDIS 'doesn't like her' ?

Ooh, top spotting. That might have been thrown in "just carelessly enough" to be the major plot thing.

WE don't need it, no. But the Beeb has to acknowledge that this may be a lot of people's first DW series, so they need to go through the motions.
You think? Dr. Who is nearly 50 years old. Can there be anyone in the western hemisphere who wonders why the phone box is so big on the inside?

There is definitely something 'off' about Clara. Could she turn out to be another Time Lord?

It might just be a "bad time of the month for her". It can affect women in so many ways some can get quite cross for no good reason.

She could understand the girl. The Tardis would have been translating her surely?

All thats ever said is kinda "yes, yes, bigger on the inside etc..." The pseudo-science behind that is never articulated.

IIRC it has something to do with the inside of the Tardis being in another dimension to the outside but this doesn't stack up with current scientific/quantum theory (all additional dinensions are sooooo small and "curled up" that they are imposible to ever see let alone enter) so they don't try to get decriptive about how it actually works. Suffice to say "it is, just deal with it".

Disappointing episode for me.

The "ooooohhh I am the Doctor, I am great, you'd better be scared of me" spiel has become overused.

Anyone else notice when the Doctor rode out of the Tardisboth doors were open, Clara hopped on the bike and they rode off...oh look both doors are now closed! wonder if he has a remote closer on it now...

He fitted remote central locking while he was still the 10th doctor.

With the Doctor dropping the "granddaughter" bomb you'd have expected Clara to say "so you're married then?" before agreeing to go galavanting round the universe with him no?

Well thats what they always say to me before agreeing to get in the car hehe

She hasn't been given a Tardis key yet.
