Apparently in one of the 'data bank' shots of old Robin Hood movies was one played by Patrick Troughton, the 2nd Doctor

Really enjoyed that one. Some good lines, very silly, but just enough plot to hold it together.

Lots of references to just 'who' the Doctor is and what he stands for. Could be going somewhere..

The spoon fight was brilliant though.

Utter, utter, Gatiss from start to rushed end. When are they going to get a writer instead of a "celeb." wannabe fanboi ?

Far too much time spent being "clever", not enough on story.

Watched it with my lad and we both enjoyed it, one of the sillier episodes but the variation in tone does some good in a series, next weeks episode looks more scary, be interesting to see how a scary plot and a darker doctor work out!

At the end I turned to crowd in the room and said "that was a crap as last week was good"

Enjoyed it. Notice the doctor flipping the bird as he put the glove on? Camera seemed to linger on it.

I quite liked Robin Hood's remark to the Doctor 'I'm just as real as you are'.

I got the impression at times that Mr Gatiss was more interested in showing us how clever he is, than in telling a story.

Still think last week's epidose inside the Dalek was the best of the series so far, and that wasn't brilliant. The first was just dire; I couldn't make head or tail of it. In fact I couldn't even tell you what it was all about now. All I can remember is thinking; "The Londoners of the Victorian era don't seem to be showing much surprise at seeing an oversize t-rex come to life, a materialising police box, and a girl in a microscopically short skirt."

(Although I have to admit I wholeheartedly approve of the latter.)

At least they have got rid of that bloody irritating chase music.

I was expecting so much more from those iron robot things. They seemed like right weak lettuces.

They had to edit out a beheading scene because two journalists have recently been beheaded. Two women apparently kissing each other as well because that's always bad. A beheading on a 7pm children's show is fine unless it's just happened to a couple of journalists recently.

I think it's suffering from an identity crisis, children's adventure or adult drama.

None of the 3 episodes have hit the spot yet.

For a silly episode, it was good.

I liked the confiscation of the screwdriver.

Oh please not another story arc that usually turns out to be ste. Bored with them now. How many have they done now? weeping

I wish they would bring back the short 4 episode story with end of episode cliff hanger.

I just wish they'd bring back the story as an essential element.

This.

It's such a different Doctor I can't imagine it's getting te younger audience it used to.

I thought it was "ok" but the plot is a bit ground hog day i.e. only two episodes age we had a space ship arrive that had its inhabitants wanting to jet off again after they got parts.

A new story line would be nice.
