There are some quite amusing stories going round about how they may not show a regeneration.
One of the more interesting ones is that they may simply introduce a new Doctor in a similar way they did when Christopher Ecclestone brought the show back.
It's as if there is now a breaking of ranks and instead of the "Jodie's great it's the audience changing viewing habits and nothing wrong with her and the scripts" line they are now almost trying to distance themselves from her
I personally think the idea above - no regeneration just start afresh is a really good one.

There will be a regeneration, as it has been confirmed that Jodie’s has filmed on. Or at least, her bit of it. My understanding is that it will be open ended, so you will see her start to glow with regeneration energy before it completely obliterates her features, before going to the end credits so you don’t see who she changes in to.One of the more interesting ones is that they may simply introduce a new Doctor in a similar way they did when Christopher Ecclestone brought the show back.

What with that and David Tennant being supposedly cast as the 14th Doctor… (I think a lot of people have got the wrong end of that particular stick. If he has been cast it is most likely to be reprising the 10th Doctor for the 60th anniversary specials in 2023. Yes, specials. Plural.)
As the thread title says ...Awesome News If You're A Fan....
Forces TV are showing what they call classic Doctor Who.
It looks to be the colour episodes from when Jon Pertwee took over. These showings don't look like complete series as in the case of Jon Pertwee they are Starting with his first one - Spearhead From Space which is shown as 2 episodes at a time per daytime then repeated in the evening.
The nest one after that is a story called The Daemons which is from Pertwee's series 2 and is separated by 7 stories and a years transmission time
From the advance advertising it looks like all the Doctors from Pertwee through to Sylvester McCoy may be shown.
the showings may be selected showings from the classic era that featured U.N.I T in it’s stories.
Some of the advertising shows scenes from Tom Bakers first episode called Robot which is one that does indeed feature U.N.I.T
Forces TV will air these episodes at 1.25pm and again at 8.15pm on weekdays

Not sure how I feel about this....from this morning's press:
....there is speculation speculation in the Sunday People that Hugh Grant could become the next Doctor Who, replacing Jodie Whittaker.
The Sunday Mirror suggests secret talks are taking place with the actor in an attempt to increase ratings.
An insider tells the Mirror, "the vision is it can become a Marvel-like product" with franchises around the Doctor.
