Lulworth Estate unhappy with the BBC..

Considering the amount of idiots around do you thnk they have a point?
Probably. I reckon if it was still summer, you'd probably have a few people going down there and then trying to climb up for selfies, before falling off and injuring themselves.

Thinking about it, wasn't Durdle Door one of the many areas that people descended on in big numbers, back during the "you can't go overseas for a holiday, stay in the UK" in '20-'21 pandemic era, and proceeded to generally fk the place up with damage to the rocks / beach area, food / drink / human waste left onsite alongside disposable barbecues, etc, and didn't at least 1 person die and others injured trying to tombstone off the cliffs too?

Edit - yep quick Google suggests a lot of that did happen, so i can see why they wouldn't be best pleased.

Despite watching the episode and having spebt a couple of holidays at Durdle Door, I didn’t actually notice the location. The Lulworth estate have given it much more publicity by moaning about it.

I was thinking Durdle Door before the shot panned out and revealed it hehe.

But I am fairly local, so...

I just assumed that Durdle Door was supposed to be symbolic of Broadchurch, given Whittaker and Chibnalll's connection to the Jurassic Coast and a reference to a more successful partnership.

I was watching the characters rather than the scenery, I think.

I finally managed to see the last episode and thought it was a bit of a mixed bag. As usual, lots of good ideas thrown at the screen, but the plot was a bit of a mess, with too many characters and too much going on, meaning that everything was spread a little too thin.

It was good to see so many old Doctors and companions back, but it all felt a little fan-wk at times.

The final re-generation was a complete surprise (well done BBC for keeping that secret - I've been dodging that reveal for the last week!). It seems like an easy way of re-invigorating the series ready for the new Doctor to start. I have a lot more confidence that RTD will write decent stories, so feel like Dr Who will get back to being a flagship show.

If anyone’s interested, these documentaries are fabulous. This latest one about the Matt Smith era is absolutely superb. 2 hours and no ads.

Seconded. Very well researched and presented. Thanks for above I had got as far as the David Tennant one and thought the guy who does them was going to stop there.
Thanks again.

That looks quite good.
The new guy - he’s got a touch of the young Eddie Murphys about him. I approve already.

Yeah, I have a real good feeling about the new Doctor.

Could be a return to the days when I actually cared or was engrossed by the character portrayed.

Yes, he's the villain of the piece, some sort of demon toymaker/ringmaster IIRC. He should be good

I’m hoping that the rumours are true and that he’s playing the Celestial Toymaker, last seen in the William Hartnell era and played by Michael Gough.

Interesting to see Beep the Meep (the cute creature that says “Monsters”) in the trailer too. That’s a rumour that looks to be true.

For those that don’t know, Beep the Meep is a character from the 4th Doctor comic strip “Star Beast” in what was then Doctor Who Weekly. Cute and cuddly, and likes to play the innocent victim, but is really a raving psychopath.
