I thought they said he had been asphyxiated?
If I remember correctly he was facing his killer when he was strangled?

I am looking forward to the final episode tonight.

It will be interesting to know why Danny was killed (obviously who killed him is pertinent to the last 7 weeks of viewing).

Thank god its nearly finished

This series has been "all filler, no killer"

They could have done it it half of the episodes!

I wont find the answer until tuesday as Game of Thrones takes precedence on a monday evening.

I agreed with you until a couple of weeks ago when it really took off for me, the story line has developed nicely and there are so many sub-plots that they could probably have strung it out even further!!

I can't remember this much hype for the first series of a drama for a long time. It was trending on Twitter 8 hours before it airs. Looking forward to it tonight.

Does Broadchurch remind anybody else of Twin Peaks? There are certain similarities between the two shows that I find it hard to get my head around.

I have really enjoyed Broadchurch though, similarities or no similarities.

Have really enjoyed this series.

It owes a lot to the Scandinavian dramas like The Killing and The Bridge. Even has some nordic sounding theme tune.

Very good stuff.

My moneys on the police detectives husband in some hunting-gone-awry shenanigans with the manic plumber with the cross-bow.

I don't think it was Rory the Vicar wot dunnit.

So we are warned to watch it until the final credits to reveal the murderer or murderers.

Any last minute theories?

Who bloody did it !

They all did it, in their sleep after a massive whole town orgy that included everyone but the obligatory tortured detective.

The Vicar is really an MI6 agent investigating why detectives on TV are always tortured by past events that they can't get rid of.

My money has always been on the Detective Sergeants husband following her question to Pauline Quirk. "How could you not know?" about PQ's husband activities. The irony appeals to me, but but I suspect that I will be wrong.

Just looking at my TV mag and might provide a theory or two, not that I'm too sure about it. hehe Anyway, will put it beneath a spoiler just in case.

After weeks of speculation, the community struggles to come to terms with the truth about the events surrounding Danny Latimer's death, and the revelations threaten to prevent the dead boy from being allowed to rest in peace.

I'm going with accidental death caused by the actions of the Dads mate and the coppers son which the coppers husband covered up.

Wonder what else they'll fit in by end to make other episodes come together.
