Anyone else watching? Rather interesting programme about a recovery/debt collection firm , logbook loans and everything that goes with it.

Saw a bit, looked just like a thug who can no longer do clamping so throws his weight around repossessing cars, so I turned over.

Yes - watching with interest. Its easy money for him really isn't it? These idiots dont have a leg to stand on. Buy something cheap/dodgy/moody and think they've got a bargain. BONG! Its got HPI all over it. Log book loans are a fking insidious form of dodgy lending that needs regulating though.

really? He looks like a rather sad little bullyboy who gets his kicks pissing on little people. Including taking car keys off 15 year old girls

i guess when everything's done on a cash basis then they won't have any money owed on a car

He can be both of those things. He is a moron, I'm not suggesting otherwise. It's good TV though.

He really does seem to enjoy the confrontation. The fact he takes a former boxer along with him speaks volumes.

What is the position on logbook loans-do they show up on an HPI check?

Got to laugh at you lot. How successful would he or any repo person be if they were built like a racing snake?

Ok the guy is never going to be a member of MENSA but I don't see him doing anything wrong, just taking cars off scrotes who don't pay the finance.

Interesting PH thread from a couple of years ago regarding logbook loans:

Of course the other point to note is that I'd be far from surprised if this legitimate line of work - where him and his thug chums have a licensed business - is the only kind of activity they pursue when it comes to collecting monies owed. Certainly after reading Bernard O"Mahoneys book about the fun and games he and his chums the "Essex Boys" got up to

The guys other money earning activities were shown last week... painting fairly impressive bedroom murals for kids with well off parents!
