The Returned (Les Revenants) - C4 21:00
Discussion
After the fire when the coppers were talking behind an ambulance it cut to a scene of a copper taking his duty belt off, then cuts back to the coppers by the ambulance again. A minute later we see a cop car pull up to Adele's house and it's the same scene again where he takes his duty belt off.
Just wondering if that was a technical glitch with my PVR or meant to be part of the show and everyone else has seen it.
That area of France looks beautiful, probably as expensive as it looks.

Having just watched it, I didn't see the copper taking his belt of scene twice.
I'm sure as the scene immediately made me think of gun safety in the house especially as there was a young kid in there. I was worried as he had just left the gun in the holster and was as relaxed as someone leaving a scarf on the coat hooks

That is weird, I never noticed it Sunday but it's there on the 4OD repeat. about 2 secs of him inside the house with the light on, with the sound of the cops talking back at Mr Costas, then the full scene of him arriving and walking in the house after.Just wondering if that was a technical glitch with my PVR or meant to be part of the show and everyone else has seen it.

I have no idea but there's so much "what if" here, what if Victor might be the Dr's brother who died when she was young (maybe a baby). Looks like she was also a victim of the murderer so is she also a returned?
The significance of the dam losing water.
We only know how Camille died so far.

My sincere hope is it doesn't go all Lost on us. A story needs a beginning, a middle & an end & something like this has the opportunity to shoot off in all sorts of flowery metaphysical directions.
It's been so good the first two episodes that it would be a shame if it were to disappear up it's own fundament in a flourish of quasi religious balderdash.

I don't think that is likely. This is French after all, not American. It's been so good the first two episodes that it would be a shame if it were to disappear up it's own fundament in a flourish of quasi religious balderdash.
I think, if anything, it will have a totally miserable ending where we are all made to feel the pain of human suffering.
American's always want redemption, some growing and learning to be happening. The French will just pile on the misery with an insouciant shrug of the shoulders.
