Brutally, shocking.
Watched that last night - bloody hell!!
Felt the film was just a tad too long, but yes, brutal is a good description. Of course I knew what had happened but seeing it dramatised in a film was shocking.

I would recommend this film purely to visualise how shocking the shooting was and the story behind the shooter.

the 2nd half is slower, but needs to show the full story, as a message of what a deluded nut job he is.

The Haunting of Hill House
Gets a 9/10 rating on IMDB, watched the first episode and was wondering when it might get going, until that last scene - oh my god, was not expecting that! Will definitely be watching episode 2....
This was discussed the other day at work after a few of us watched the trailer (which looked very promising)

Up to episode 6, absolutely fantastic series so far. It takes a few episodes to really get going as there are several timelines which does slow the pace down slightly, but the way this has been directed is just brilliant. A blend of horror, thriller & drama that unravels at a rate that is gripping and consistent.

So far from what i have seen it deserves the 9/10 IMDB rating

Reminds a lot of the shinning, not a fan on horror, but this worked well, just timeline can be a bit difficult to follow, bit jump scary, but adds to whole package.

Drop Off (2014) James Gandolfini Tom Hardy . Slow to start and whilst the plot continues the movie really never gathers pace , Hardy is superb as usual , but doubt I'd watch again , 5/10

For those interested, the second season of Salvation is up on Netflix
Is that the Elon Musk type guy trying to save the world from a meteor?
That's the one
I've just finished series 2. I think 1 is better. Don't want to say too much. Like how the ... gets into the ... and then that makes everything ... so I'll just leave it there.
Just finished Season 2, I'm probably aIone in saying actually kinda enjoyed it! I assume there will be no season 3 however

Many , many thanks for the recommendation on this little gem, The wife & my youngest daughter really love spooky stuff like this. Personally i'm a bit of a whoopsie when it comes to horrors but i'm really enjoying this one.

We have watched the first three & the weather is pretty poop here in south London this morning . idea

Yeah this is great - I've just watched the first two.
I initially found it a bit confusing; two of the daughters and the mother look quite similar, but I soon got over that...

Keeping those kittens was a bad idea

Glad I wasn't the only one.

Finding it hard to settle into this after 2 episodes. I'll persevere though.

We thought the same but after episode 3 you really do get to know who's who.

That's because it's actually called 'The Drop' *and* it isn't on UK Netflix.

I agree it isn't one I'd watch twice.

Just done ep1 so these aren't spoilers...: At the moment there's the brother and older sister, then the two kids (boy/girl) who shared a bedroom. Apparently there's another sister, but haven't figured out whether Nell is this sister (who doesn't appear in the old story) or the sister who shared a bedroom.

Then in present day there's Nell, lesbian and old sister. And they also all look like their mum now they're grown up. So that's four (I think) identical looking white women with long brown hair.

I shall stick with it, but I'm going to hold you to the it all becomes clear after ep3 line!

To hopefully clear things up for anyone who is getting confused with who is who when it flicks between childhood and present time. For some reason the young Nell is not in this picture but she is the youngest girl who shares a room with Luke as they are twins

I’m on the penultimate episode of Haunting of Hill House. The timeline has been very well executed in my opinion. Colours used for each made it easy to know where we were so no confusion.

Haven’t experienced the confusion over the family members. I thought their characters have each been very well definined.

Also I’ve not found anything scary/jumping/horrifying? Would class it more drama/thriller.

For anyone who is enjoying this and hasn’t seen Six Feet Under i’d recommend it.

It may be nerdy, but I'm looking forward to Netflix integrating with sky q next month. No more terrible PS4 Netflix interface, no more trailers you can't turn off, no more list order changing seemingly daily, no more 5 second countdown before the credits even start...

It works very well. My telly didn't do the app very well so having it straight from Sky Q is excellent.

It's all a bit out there but it's mildly amusing and a good distraction.

Big Mouth is pretty funny. A bit like South Park in a sense, but a bit less ridiculous.

S1 was great and seen they just added S2 recently. 8/10 show for me & an easy watch
I wasn't keen on the first couple of episodes as I was still trying to gauge the humour and direction. However, the episodes - and humour through the exploration of puberty - kept getting better, especially S2.

Changing tack completely, I did enjoy Cloud Atlas, although it was a little disorientating and sprawling.

Bae Doona cloud9 It's the quirkiness and individuality.
