Mid90s.
If you skateboard or ever did, especially in the 90s heyday, this is essential viewing, a coming of age movie centred around the LA skate scene in the... mid 90s.
It's very authentic, probably the best representation of skateboarding in fictional film i've seen, and the movie itself is great, if a little tough to watch in places. Directorial and writing debut from Jonah Hill, it very much feels autobiographical, funny and touching, and harsh.

Daybreak. Despite myself, I'm quite enjoying this.
I'm clearly not the target demographic (I'm 50 in a couple of weeks) but it's well written and witty and has Matthew Broderick as a middle aged reacher (with a nod to Ferris Bueller in the first episode).
We just started Schitts Creek on recommendation from friends, we're a few episodes in and, unusually for US comedy, finding it funny.

Schitt's Creek
Dad from American Pie plays obscenely wealthy businessman who loses everything overnight and has to move his family to a backward town he bought as a joke.
Pretty good, certainly raised a few laughs, onto season 2 at the moment.
I've got through it all, not to bad. It's an nice easy watch when you just can't be bothered. The next series isn't on until January next year. Dad from American Pie plays obscenely wealthy businessman who loses everything overnight and has to move his family to a backward town he bought as a joke.
Pretty good, certainly raised a few laughs, onto season 2 at the moment.

Heat is another good one, may not be on netflix though...
The shoot-out scene downtown with a fully set up surround sound system is pretty epic.Lazermilk said:

Very interesting indeed, I sort of remember the story as it happened but good to see the whole story in detail.
The lawyer Yoram Sheftel is quite a character and reminds me of Saul Goodman

+1 from me. So much money spent for so little. All the budget went on the locations and effects which left 50p for the plot and script. It could have been so good........... We finished watching as the locations and cinematography was big budget but the plot holes and continuity were just too much to overlook. What a turkey.
