Netflix - What gems have you found?

Haven't read all 13 pages so apologies if mentioned, but The Bridge is a properly amazing series. Swedish / Danish and set in both Malmo and Copenhagen and absolutely intriguing from start to finish. They've just added season 2 to Netflix which I'm working through.
Yeah, I mentioned it a while back, I finished Season 1 on Monday night - I loved it, a cracking series. Looking forward to watching Season 2, but just got second series of Bates Motel to watch first. At the weekend me and the wife watched 'Generation War' again. Absolutely recommend this for everyone - a very thought provoking mini-series (3x 1.5hr episodes), taking 5 friends as WWII breaks out who think the war will be over by Xmas and arrange to meet up. It follows their experiences through the war and how their lives intertwine. It's in German (with subtitles) and really interesting to see something like this from the German perspective.
They sound good, on the list for next week...that's why I started this thread, I'd have probably just skipped over them as the synopsis on Netflix doesn't really sell some of the stuff that's on there.
At the complete opposite end of the spectrum, just been watching Elf with the kids on Canada region love that film.

I am going to try and figure out how to get access to non-UK Netflix when I am off over Christmas.
Just use unblock-us.comMakes it all so easy (every Netflix region selectable via a drop-down box), and is only 2 or 3 quid a month.
Think they still have the 7 day free trial going too.
I know there are other ways, but this is so convenient.

That's ridiculous and largely unbelievable.
I did the same with Prison Break - Loved the first 2 series, then got fed up with it by season 4 (the constant totally ridiculous twists/turns/conspiracies did my head in). Watched right up until the last episode and just didn't bother watching the finale, and it was on my Sky planner for ages. Normally I'd make myself watch it just because I'd invested so much time, but I really didn't care how it ended. Have done the same with True Blood, watched 6 seasons, and just haven't bothered with the 7th, although that's still on the planner, so maybe one day I'll watch it

OK, thanks for this, I am going to give it a go tonight.
Edit - sorry to ask such a technologically retarded question but it isn't clear from their website... Do I have to pay a sub for each device? I have an LG Smart TV in my living room and a Roku Box and Apple TV in my bedroom and I'd like it available in both rooms.
No, the region will change on whatever device you have configured to run through their DNS. Not sure if it works with Roku (at least I don't think it used to), but not had a problem with any other device. I'm running PS3, PS4, iPad, Samsung and Panasonic Smart TVs and they all work fine. Sorry to keep hijacking the thread with unblock-us questions, but how do I change regions on my iPad? I want to access Swedish Netflix but I can't figure out how to do it through the Netflix app.
So long as you have the correct DNS settings in the iPad, you should just be able to change regions from the unblock us website. Make sure you exit the Netflix app and restart it for the regions to actually change, same goes for any device.lemonslap said:
Currently working my way through the trailer park boys, didn't expect to like it but I'm enjoying it (a bit to much at times, laughed for 2 min's solid when conky's head was shot off).
I need to get back into this, I watched up to Season 5 and didn't watch any more, haven't seen any of the films either, but loved it while I was watching it. Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
