I found a film called Tucker and Dale Versus Evil last night on Netflix, and I cannot believe I missed this one, it had me in stitches!

just heard Designated Survivor season 2 is now on Netflix.
It is indeed, I watched episode 1 last night. What's-her-name has gone and there's a new (annoying) character. Plus more outlandish plot and awful CGI explosions.
I lasted about 5 episodes before I realised just how bad it really was.
I thought it was dire. Sutherland is king of the mumblers, and the only thing worth watching was Natash McElhone. And she was hardly in it.
It is cheesy, but it does have a potentially entertaining premise. However production values are next to zero, you can spot the plot before you sit down and switch the TV on and Keifer is completely unbelievable. Currently Lethal Weapon is being lauded, but that's another similar quality offering with weak characters and average acting - the Riggs actor - the 'lethal' in 'weapon' tries hard but is a charisma-free zone and is no Gibson by a mile. Think it's on terrestrial TV though.

Just started watching '3%'. Some sci fi series about a world in the future with a lucrative offshore island everybody wants to get to. So, there is a trial, a competition. And only 3% can pass it and go to live in this special place.

Dubbed in English, from Brazil I think, bit corny, but passes the hours away. I have feeling it will lumber on for a dozen episodes with different challenges for the group each week.

Yeah, there's something odd about it. There are challenges but there's also interpersonal drama. I think you'd have to be Brazilian to really get into it.

Gerald’s Game - an adaptation of the book by Stephen King - I’ve not read it but supposed to be very faithful to the book.

It’s about a couple that go to their lake house to spice up their marriage, and the husband has a heart attack while in the middle of a bit of role-play, leaving her handcuffed to the bed and having to work out how to save herself - Definitely worth a watch, 6.73/10 for me

Snowden doesn't get good reviews but I thought it was very good the analogy to the nazis really gets the message home.

8/10

Just finished shooter season 2.

Enjoyed it. Step up from season one and good to surpass the film story where you knew roughly what was coming.

So so good. Anyone who hasn’t seen it must avoid ANYTHING about it and just go in with zero expectations. The trailer ruins the entire film.

Just done this and I agree, it’s a great film.

Is mountain men (also on Netflix) the same two actors?

Jack Whitehall: Travels with my father .....Season 1 coming on the 22nd September .. should be good smile
I watched this last night from start to finish and found it very amusing in parts. I am not a particular fan of Jack Whitehall but I found this to be a very entertaining Sunday night watch, and could tell that his father was beginning to wind down a little!

We Watched American Vandal over the weekend.

It's a mock-umentary, similar in style to making a murderer. I really enjoyed it 8/10.

Frank Turner - Get Better.

Documentary following FT for a year leading up to the release of his last album. Dealt with his 'privileged' upbringing / rise from playing to a handful of people to playing stadiums and how that affected his relationship with fans / impacted his personal life / how he coped with life on the road / why he toured so much.

Quite enjoyed this, pretty revealing in parts. Came across as a nice bloke, if a bit unsuited to real life away from the tour bus / stage hehe

It Follows - cool, minimalist horror. Good soundtrack, great picture quality and the shots of the neighbourhood at night are amazing. I can see why it got good reviews.

one thing that I found funny is his dad sounds exactly like John Sergeant.

Currently watching Highway Thru Hell, about some frozen road in Canada and the heavy rescue truck team who help out after truck accidents.

Pretty interesting, with very little of the usual tedious reality TV dross and fake drama, and it looks like something I would enjoy doing myself.

I watched pretty much all of those when they first came out. Very interesting characters and some bloody dangerous recoveries.
