Loved The Good place. Binged the lot.

Kristen Bell is awesome.
Absolutely, and I just finished series 1 last night. Stayed up late watching the start of series two. Brilliant.

For the Gomorrah fans ...

Saburra - Blood in Rome just started on Netflix

Have watched the first 3 episodes and so far am very impressed.

Does not have quite the subtlety of Gomorrah and the pace is much quicker but nonetheless the production values are high..

So far so good..
Added to my list, huge Gomorrah fan

if you have not seen it already then the film Suburra is also on Netflix and is very similar to the Gomorrah series

Can't believe I missed this one. Home sick today and blitzed the lot. Very upset to find only 2 episodes of series 2 so far though.
Really easy and at time funny watch. I have to say I have become a bit of a Ted Danson fan over the years.
yes After Cheers, Becker was the best thing on TV at the time.

My youngest son was recommended this by his Religious studies tutor. He binged the first series one afternoon a few weeks back and is now up to date/second series.
I’ve seen bits of it and it looks good, came here to look for any reviews.
Weird coincidence but my eldest son paid us a surprise visit over the weekend and starts telling me how he and his flatmate are obsssed with a series they’ve discovered and I’d probably enjoy it... again, The Good Place.
Definitely on the list now.

Upto episode 7 and am really enjoying it ....very good production value...

One thing that bugs me is that each episode starts with a scene that's actually happens in the future / at the end of the episode and then cuts to screen saying 'earlier in the day' and the the story goes from there- so it kind of gives away the ending of each episode.

From episode 5 I have been skipping the scenes before the title credits and would recommend the same- except for the first episode .. you will know why when you see it.

I highly recommend The Good Life, the concept is brilliant, Kirsten Bell my God, Ted Danson is brilliant. At the end of season one I did wonder where it was going but season two seems so much better. I just wish they were all out 25 mins isn't enough, I could binge a season in a night.

It has a few titters, however I am underwhelmed.

Might give it another episode.

Just finished season three of Narcos. Jeeeeeees, every single episode is so tense and has you on the edge of your seat. Fantastic series, I think the best of the three so far.

Whoever recommended Tucker & Dale vs Evil - thank you! Not what we were expecting but laugh out loud funny.
The Good Place - halfway through the series and finding it OK but each episode a bit 'samey' - she's trying to be good but....oh she fails....Flashback bit....She does something good - end.
Gerald's Game - a good watch, well paced and tense.
Halfway through Power at the moment - good but not spectacularly so. Engaging storyline, if a little slow but pretty much all the characters are unlikable (I guess that's partly the point) and why does the wife always have to dress like a cheap hooker to go out?

Almost forgot - the Jack Whitehall and his dad thing - like it far more than I thought I would. Even though it's clearly scripted and set up (think Top Gear challenge) it's funny and they both come out of it well.

Came to the thread to post about this. Really watchable and I think the father really does steal the show. Real gem of a show

I've been binging on a few documentaries I've not seen before.

Generation Iron 2. Pretty terrible but watchable in the way some trash TV is. Must have been filmed around 6 months before Rich Piana died, in hindsight the warning signs were there.

Banking on Bitcoin. Much of it went way over my head but a good watch and highlights how 'free' or otherwise the US is. The hipocrasy of jailing the creator of The Silk Road when no Wall Street bankers have faced any charges for the financial meltdown in 07.

Ice Guardians. Chronicles the Enforcers of the NHL. Fascinating if brutal look at the uglier side of Ice Hockey and why outlawing it is not a straightforward matter.

13th. A look at the criminalization of Black men in the US, where 1 in 3 can expect to spend time in jail.

Icarus. Follows the head of the Russian lab at the centre of the doping scandal, who turns out to be surprisingly candid.

The fear of 13. Probably the best of the lot. Follows a guy who's been on death row for 20 years, a fascinating insight.

We watched the first 4 last night. Brilliant. Kristen Bell is completely lovely.

I got the usual "we're not starting something else, are we? We've got three on the go already. I'm not watching it!" from the Keeper of All Information.

2 hours later she is lobbying hard for us to watch the 5th. No. Bed time.

Great, great programme.

Slightly OT, but anyone else getting pixelation lately?
Only lasts a minute or so, only infrequently but annoying.

Pretty sure it's not my Internet connection - rock steady FTTC from Zen. Amazon, Apple TV, NOW TV unaffected.
Mentioned it in the office today and colleague said getting the same, though sounds worse - she's on Virgin fibre.

Funny you say that as a mate had pixelation problems on Apple TV but he rebooted and had no problems.

The problem I'm getting is the subtitles coming on as default on both the Smart TV and Apple TV and it is doing my head in.

My Apple TV was playing up for a little bit, seems it was downloading a TVOS update, as you said, fine after a reboot.

On advice of a friend I binged American Vandal over last weekend; hands-down the funniest, smartest thing I have seen in a long long time. will watch again/10.

FTTP here (virgin - we're on the poverty spec 100meg service), and at the start of most shows it is running at something like QCIF resolution for the first 15-30 seconds - after that it goes up to the full HD (well, 720p - we're watching via a chromecast). All other services, amazon, youtube, perfect.
